I buy Canon ink and paper because it's of a known quality and they just plain work with each other, and if there was ever a problem with the printing process I have just one support number to call. This peace of mind makes up for the marginally higher cost of the ink versus the cheap stuff one can find online.I have a Canon PIXMA G5020 printer, it's a 4 ink mega-tank inkjet printer. While it's not a "photo" printer this machine does a really good job of printing images up to A4 or US Letter 8.5" x 11" size paper and it suits my needs perfectly.

Oh My this Mega tank printer from Canon is AMAZING! I have filled up my ink a total of 3 times. The first time ever, then two refills. I bought the printer in 2018. AND I use it alot going through approx 6 500 page packs of paper with about 95% being double sided. where as I had bought cartridges prior every 6 months using a fraction of the paper that I used. The only downfall is that I had to upgrade my paperweight in order to print double sided as the colors do seem to bleed on the paper you buy at like walmart. But it's worth it because I can print both sides full color sheets if necessary. Works great for pamphlets bright vivid colors amazing!

Canon markets this ink at a low enough price to not use non-OEM inks. The main savings are from not having to purchase those super-expensive ink cartridges ever again. I trust OEM ink not to foul up theprinter the way 3rd party inks might.

I have had too many negative experiences using the various knock-off brands of ink. From photos fading to print heads getting clogged. It has never been worth using anything but genuine Canon Ink. The savings by using the tank style printer is enormous and I would highly recommend the next time you need a printer, go with the Canon tank printer. The Canon ink is always reliable.

It is an easy process to re-fill ink wells of a Canon G7020 once you see the process. A computer consultant did it for me and I watched the process / participated in the process. I think there are You Tube videos that show how to do it.
