Question 1

If these probiotics colonize the digestive track why would we need them everyday?? How long do you recommend taking them for 3-6-9 months?

Thanks for your great question.  There are several reasons the recommended dosage is one every day.  First, while these strains colonize, they are transient in that they eventually leave the body.  Our studies have shown that these strains have a 21-28 day lifecycle in the gut.  In addition, while they are there for that 21-28 day period, they are working in different sections of the intestinal tract.  They move from the small intestines all the way down to the distal colon performing different functions at all different areas of the intestinal tract.  It's perfectly fine to take a maintenance dose of Just Thrive of every other day or even every third day especially after a issue has been resolved.  However, you would want to, at a minimum, take the spores on a regular basis  because  our gut is being attacked on a daily basis by toxins in the environment, antibiotics, glyphosates, stress (the list goes on).  So, it's important to help support our good bacteria and help get rid of our bad bacteria on a regular basis.  We want to give the good bacteria all the support we can to help win that daily battle with the bad bacteria.  We recommend taking Just Thrive on a regular basis because these bacillus strains are the same strains our ancestors got on a daily basis from the soil - it is the way nature intended us to care for our gut flora.

Is this product the same as megasporebiotic?

Hi! Thanks for your question. We consider the two products to be bio equivalent but they are not the exact same. Just Thrive does not contain bacilllus lichenformis and has 3 billion cfus while Megaspore has 4 billion. The directions say that the capsules can also be opened and mixed with food for consumption.  Can it also be mixed with water or a hot beverage?

Hi Harriet!  Thanks for your great question. Yes the contents of the capsule can be opened and mixed with water or a hot drink beverage. In fact, you can even bake with them. We've tested these strains up to 455 degrees and they remained completely stable. Thanks for your question!

I really don't want or need the antioxidants -- can't I just buy the probiotic?

Thanks for your question.  We do not have a product that does not include bacillus indicus (HU 36) which is the strain that produces antioxidants.  Just to clarify, we do not add antioxidants to our formulation.  Instead, one of the strains in our formulation (bacillus indicus) actually produces carotenoids once it gets into the intestines making it one of the most bio-available forms of antioxidants on the market!  Antioxidants have been shown to be extremely beneficial in supporting overall health and wellness.
