Flowmaster12518409 Super HP-2 Muffler 409SS

I brought my Jeep to the muffler shop (prefer welders exhaust over clamp)Had my muffler removed and resonator and installed this muffler in the place of the resonator , then added new pipe from cut off off of old muffler, , looks nice can feel added power, now to be honestI did, new cold air intake, muffler mod, MSD Coils and new plugs as well as modification of ECM all at same time, so cannot say if any one did the addition or all together. I’m happy and the Jeep get better fuel mileage and torque

Flow Masters are a automotive industry name and their products do stand the test of time. These mufflers are no different. For me I should of stayed with what I knew about the sound application I wanted and was looking for. I went with the longer version of this type of muffler, with hopes of a richer, deeper and more full range sound. That’s unfortunately was not what I got! I don’t totally hate them, but on the other side of things I don’t totally love them either! I’m on the fence and find myself tolerating them… Why? Well under normal driving they sound great and under a heavy load they are obnoxiously loud. If your pulling an RV, you might want to think twice. Getting in and out of and RV Park will surely disturb your fellow campers (day or night)! The other set of Flow Masters I had on my other Pickup were more what I used them for and did Scream like these do. I missed my sweet spot with these and really miss that first set I originally purchased! Those that like it loud will love these mid-road FM muffs for sure. With this said I have to give a Middle of the road for Sound: (A Star Rating of 3) and a Overall: 5 Stars on the Brand, Construction, Durability and of course the Manufacturing of these Mufflers. I do recommend this Brand Muffler! Just don’t make the mistake I made by choosing the wrong one. Make sure your getting the right one for your application and expected use. Thanks reading my review!

Built a custom exhaust for my Subaru impreza and used this HP2 along with a flowmaster resonator and a flowmaster 2.5" mandrel bent universal tube kit. Now my baby can breath! I put on a UEL header looking for that boxer rumble and the stock exhaust was choking it to death. Super happy with this setup. The HP2 has an awesome deep throaty sound and is fairly compact. Great quality!

Like the sound

Great quality product, fits with slight adapting on a 2009 Ford F-150 5.4. Has a nice deep sound to it with little to no cabin drone. Would recommend.

A bit pricey. But the they really do have cool shell technology, I have very limited room on my Landcruiser and I was able to fit these in on both sides of the transmission. The sound is very nice too, a bit loud during wide open throttle.

Very good construction. However this should not be considered a muffler it is definitely a resonator. If This is going into a daily driver of any sort you will want to add a sizable muffler behind it to make the sound level tolerable. Nobody really said that In the reviews and Flowmaster puts this muffler in the quieter side of their line up. I know it has the laminar flow core but audibly it’s the same as an equal length glass pack in sound but seems to have way less popping on decel. So that’s a plus. Add an additional muffler so you you can hear your radio again and it’ll be sweet

Its a great muffler small not too quiet not to loud i have a v-6 and all v-6s sound like crap imo. I needed to relocate my muffler is the only reason I got this very little drone on the highway kinda loud at wide open throttle. Its on a jeep 3.8 jk.

I installed the Flowmaster Muffler on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I love the deep sound, it is exactly what I was hoping it would sound like. It is fairly loud, especially when you put your foot into the throttle. If you want a quiet muffler don’t get this one, but if you want to be noticed this will do it.
