Good flavor. Good value nicely aromatic

I'm thrilled to have found an Organic Source that I trust. The aroma when I opened the bag was amazing! I immediately stored in tight-sealed Ball Mason Jars and my little spice jar. I ground some for a recipe and the cumin flavor was distinct and pungent and deliciious. Very strong flavor. Strong fragrance. Great for soup stock, albeit be sparring with any spice or herb (of course). You'll only need a teaspoon for about a gallon of soup, for a mild flavor. A tablespoon might be too strong for most people, though.Be warned, 16 ounces is more than what most people will use, even if they use a lot. Ginger goes a long way in the kitchen because of its strong fragrance and flavor. If you want to try something new, try adding some ginger to some chicken or beef stir-fry, and adding some sweet Mirin rice wine as a finishing touch a few minutes before serving. Onions (especially green onions) in stir-fry really work well with ginger, but not for pork.NOTE: Bag is not resealable. If possible, buy spice bottles to keep fresh. Normally it would take several bottles to hold this much spice/herb in one bottle, but I've found that the beverage bottles linked below make for an epic spice bottle that also makes your kitchen look far more stylish (the recommended product is linked below). This way you don't have to find some weird way to reseal the bag (paperclips, tape, clothespins) after you're done, and you can just put the whole thing in the final bottle all the once. You also get the convenience of being able to close your spice bottle with just one twist, and you can throw away the ugly bag to keep your pantry organized (or keep it outside, to showcase your sense of style). You can even add your own labels on top afterwards, making a very nice gift set of spices and herbs for someone who likes to cook a lot and often runs out of spices.Epica 18-Oz. The last 20yrs or more, I have been buying cumin from India. I have a 2yr old with lead poisoning and it's mostly diet and air related. Unfortunately, the food we are ingesting is full of lead and other toxic heavy metals. lead is no joke with kids. Spices is one of the worst that have lead. I have had to start making my own otherwise we go without. Yes, even Organic USA spices are full of lead.I decided to go with this product, it's USA made, organic and most importantly from a co-op. There is such a difference to this product. They smell like real cumin should, better than the Indian cumin. They are a slight bit darker too.Very happy with my purchase. Well worth the money.

I use this in my organic green tea twice a day along with lemon juice. This is the next best thing to raw ginger and is much easier to blend in my beverages. It's got a fresh smell right out of the bag and good texture for mixing. I purchased a one pound bag at decent price. And I'll continue to buy as long as the price is right.

The product itself is great! Amazon however cannot seem to get it right. I've ordered this 3 times now and each time have only received 1 16oz bag rather than the 2 16oz bags I should have received. While I appreciate that amazon is quick to resolve the issue, I would rather not have to hope each time I order that it's going to be correct and have to spend time reaching out to amazon to correct the issue when it's not. Other than that, I love this ginger - smells great, provides great flavor, and is always fresh. I use A LOT of ginger and have tried many brands over the years. This one is a stand out for me and one I always look to first when it's time to restock.

The cumin seeds were aromatic, tasty and the best I’ve ever used.

This is the second time I've placed an order for two 16oz. Bags and have received a rewrapped package with only one 16oz. Bag.This doesn't seem like a mistake at this point.
