A: You need shims to adjust coupler hight befor you glue it in place,this is where the screw comes in handy.with work it should fit all

A: Yes, the top and bottom just clip together once you have put the Whisker coupler inside.

**Q: what size screws do I need for these pockets?**
A: Kadee #246 tap and drill set works like a charm.  If it is a box,refer or stock car  position the box  on the car with Elmer's school glue. Remove the car top. Use the #50 to drill through the coupler box and bottom of the car.  Tap a 2-56 thread.  Use a 2-56 screw from the underside and a nut inside the car to secure the box.  This may be more than you wanted to know.

**Q: univeral box coupler - hole in box should have center post or screw in order to hold coupler in place? Picture doesn't show screw or post ? Thanks**
A: Mount them by drilling a hole with a #50 drill. Use the box as a template. Tap the hole wit 2-56 tap. Secure with 2-56 screws (not supplied) about 3/8" long.
