Based on our ever popular Sheepskin Silhouette, the Paterson Lo takes natural suede, luxurious Australian sheepskin and blends it with the functional benefit of waterproof. Retaining all the qualities associated with EMU Australia, including a cushioning, anatomically correct insole, superior support and fit, and breathability, this boot is stylish yet functional.

The Emu was perfect for the New England storm for the first couple ...
The Emu was perfect for the New England storm for the first couple of weeks. It did keep dry during that time. However, after a short period of time, the shoe couldn't hold up to it's waterproof feature. My feet were constantly wet and I wouldn't be able to wear it until everything dried out. While the shoe is perfect for keeping your feet warm, I'm a bit disappointed that it's not waterproof.

Stiff, narrow, and unlofty
After my regular, non-waterproof Emus that I love and never take off wore out beyond hope, I decided to "upgrade" on their replacement with this waterproof version. They are waterproof but don't come close in fleece density/quality or overall comfort to the originals. My feet get cold in them and their construction is much narrower and stiff; two things I definately don't want in a shearling boot. Maybe these issues will improve in time...I'll have to buy Ugg's shearling insoles to replace the un-lofty ones these came with. But the rest of the shearling, if it even is that (and not just wool as it appears), inside in the top and sides is very thin. No way to fix that unfortunately.

Order a size larger
I love these. The fatal flaw for sheepskin boots is that they soak up water like a sponge. These waterproof version fixes that. I ordered a full size larger than my normal Emu size. These are a slightly different fit, and a bit sleeker than the normal style (which is probably a good thing). In the photo my worn in regular one is on the left, the new waterproof one is on the right.

So disappointing.
I got a pair of EMUs as a gift in 2010 and wore them for over 8 years until they suffered an untimely death due to puppy chewing. They were amazingly comfortable, and looked great with everything. I decided to order the same shoes I got last time, only these ones were supposed to be "water proof" and all the reviews said they ran smaller than the size listed. So I ordered a half size bigger thinking that would cover it. I was soooooo wrong. They weren't water proof past the second time walking through damp grass, and were so tight they actually split along the side where the fabric was attached to the sole in less than a week. Don't waste your money.

Love my Emus
I knew I needed these after trying on my daughter’s Emu boots. I have a high arch and often find it difficult to get boots on my feet. These cause me no problems. The wide width is appreciated. Love the fleece lining.

Better than Uggs
The Paterson boot is waterproof which is outstanding. I love to throw these on mornings when I walk out into the snow with the dogs, or shoveling snow for 15 minutes than back in the house - so much easier than putting on thick socks, wrestling with big boots, only to take them off 20 minutes later. The quality is great and I like that you can take out the bottom liner to wash. The fit is a challenge. I am a solid 10 but the boot slipped too much so I ordered a 9 and they have conformed nicely in the two weeks I have had them.I recommend this boot!

I like so much better than UGGS
I travel to Australia a lot and of course UGGS are everywhere. I'd seen Emus but I think I, like a lot of people, just always think "UGGS" are THE boot. This time I saw some Emus that I really liked and started reading up on them. I'm an EMUS convert. They feel like better quality boots than UGGS and I love the rich brown color.

but love the removable sole liners
I purchased size9 Uggs and they ran too small and had to return them. So I tried EMU in size9. They ran a little short, but not so much I could not wear them. There is no arch support, but love the removable sole liners. I can recommend them, but expect a snug fit.
