Our place overlooks a large field that is visited by pheasant and quail, owls, and a number of deer, but they are very shy and we have been unable to capture pictures of them. My daughter is very interested in wildlife and this seemed the perfect way to acquire the pictures.The camera is very rugged, easy to program, and set up. I really liked the included tree mounting strap and included mounting brackets, which give us the option to set it up on a building if we choose later. The included cords to charge it and transfer data was a pleasant surprise, too.Unfortunately, we did not get a long-term test of the solar panel, as it has been overcast here for over a week, but the days we did have sun, it seemed to work well.Just be sure to have a micro sd card on hand to store pictures, and several AA batteries to provide backup power when the sun is not out.Overall, very pleased with this product, and think it is well worth the cost!

Camera and solar panel are easy to use. Takes good pictures and videos. Have only used it for a few days, but so far so good. Its fun to catch all the things going on outside when your not looking. We use it to monitor outside our house for wildlife activity and any other activity. Battery quality is amazing and the solar panel is a huge plus! Love how easy it all is and it really takes great pictures.

The media could not be loaded.  I have used the camera for serval months now and it is still working fine. I have not had to change the batteries at all. I was a little confused at first. It seems the solar charger doesn't charge the batteries you put in the camera but has batteries inside the solar panel. I think that's it. It takes pretty good quality photos and it's so nice not to have to keep feeding it batteries like I have my others. I think I could have bought five solar cameras for what I've spent on batteries over the years.I use this to monitor my pasture for signs of predators or trespassers and just because I enjoy spying on wildlife and the waiting for the surprise of what I get.

I set the product up for security reasons. Everything was very easy and explained simple. I basically set it, then walked away expecting to get several weeks of pictures if there was any type of issues on a site that has very little traffic if any. I came back a few weeks later to find the product dead. I thought the batteries drained and at least I would have 2 or 3 photos saved on the card. I was very wrong. Well at this point I think it will basically stay on for a about 20 minutes and then shuts itself off. I have tried batteries with out the solar pack provided and the same thing happens. I have tried to return the product and even ask for a replacement but it seems its out of their hands at this point. I don't have time to baby sit the product to see if its working everyday so Im going to have to fire it on the spot and hire one that can stand behind it’s advertised resume. My advise is to check your babysitters references before hiring and return or return it before it goes out of warranty and fire it if needed. Hope this helps with your “hiring decision".

I bought one of these and it worked great. So I bought another one. The first one ended up lasting a couple months and stopped working. No indication of breaking down, it just stopped working. Only lasted a couple months. The second one I bought is still working so far.

When I got the product, it was in great condition with all of its parts and manuals. The user manuals were slightly confusing with all the high-tech jargon that I didn’t understand, but eventually knew how to set it up. I loved how the manuals had pictures that went along with the instructors so you can follow along to know if you are setting it up correctly. In order to fully power up these two items you need to charge it a full day with sunlight which can be difficult if you live in place that doesn’t have a lot of sunlight. For me in California it charged up pretty quicky and was very impressed. Also, in order to use the camera, you should use a certain type of battery that wasn’t included. Another thing I love was that the solar panel is water proof but has only a working life of 3-5 years. The only negative thing that wasn’t included was the memory card for the camera. Overall, this product is great for using it in nature.

This trail camera worked great and was super easy to use, especially since it was the first trail cam I have used. Quality photos and motion detection caught the smallest bit of movement. We put it near our driveway alarm and on our livestock and it worked great on the tree with easy mounting.
