Boat or Railing Safety Netting for Lifeline, Bannister, Bunk Beds, Etc. | Keep Kids and Pets Safe (50')

This seems like good quality netting, I’ve had in up for 6 months now and no sign of decay. It has good strength and the way it is woven prevents it from unraveling if any segment parts. Of course you’d have a bigger hole where that segment was, but the net remains intact. They sort of leave you on your own as far as attaching it goes. What I ended up with was a piece of thin dynema wound around the life line and through each top segment, with a clove hitch every other segment and tied to each stantion. I wanted something more UV stable than wire ties and I didn’t want any support gaps. Yes it took forever, yes it was expensive. My little doggies are very important to me, and the risks to them incurred by my decision to live on a sailboat are not something I take lightly. So overkill is is how I do. For the bottom I cut the bottom of every third segment and tied it to the toe rail. I used a hot knife to fuse the ends as I cut. The openings are still a work in progress, today I noticed my little female (by far the boldest of the two) putting her nose under the bottom of the ‘gate’. I tied snap shackles at 3 points across its height and mounted D rings using hose clamps, so that the netting overlaps the fixed part. But now it occurs to me I need to add something more rigid along the bottom and open side. I’m thinking I’ll fabricate something with wire rope and stainless rod. I shouldn’t need the overlap and should only need an extra shackle on the bottom. I bought two 50’ pieces for my 44’ sailboat, which was plenty, I have 4-5’ left over, although I didn’t go all the way to the stern, I stopped at the farthest aft stantions and netted across the boat between them, which left a couple feet of deck off limits, which suits me just fine. The bow is similar, I had to make allowance for the roller furling, and snap shackles allow I piece to be removed when anchoring. If she falls into the marina while I’m not watching she’ll drown. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to prevent that. It wasn’t a trivial task. But any experienced boater would expect it, nothing comes easy. Best of luck protecting your precious crew! Great quality product! Easy to install once you figure put the process! The net is hardy and will keep my older pup safely on deck at all times! Figuring out the doorway was a little tricky. I was lucky enough to have just enough of the 20’ section on my 30’ Sabre from the bowsprit to the door to double the net where the doorway is. I pulled the net super tight. Used three carabiner rock climbing clips and zip ties to secure the doorway and it works really well! I would buy this product again and recommend to a friend. You won’t be dissatisfied with the quality of this net. It’s better quality than West Marine nets for sure!

I used this net to enclose the upper part of our loft/bunk bed. The original net’s measurements were 2x20 feet, but it stretched enough to cover the roughly 3/3.5 foot height distance just fine. I trimmed the extra (I had plenty) and burned the ropes to keep it from fraying. I had to fiddle with it some to get it to look right and “clean,” but with two of us this was about an hour long project. We mounted all the hooks to the ceiling joist and bunk rail first, then went back and installed the net. My kids know not to lean on it or touch it - but I’m confident that if one of them accidentally fell into the net it would hold their weight just fine. After lots of searching, this was the perfect solution to feel good about having a bunk bed for our five year old twins.

Bought this for Netting around the safety lines on my sailboat. I've had Netting in the past just not this brand. In the past the line used for the Netting was a tight weave line this is very very very loose. Think more like yarn instead of typical twisted pair rope. So I have a feeling this is going to snag easily fray out but until I try it who knows so I'll give it a shot. 3 stars cause I won't know how it held up for another year hopefully less than that and I'll revise to 1 star but right now I have serious doubts if it were any other rope it would have gone back instantly but I'm hoping the knots keep it from getting to bad.

The netting works will with a few well placed carabiners and tension lines. It successfully prevents my escape artist of a dog from departing my boat whenever I hop off for any reason.

The actual product is very loosely woven line, with the knots falling apart and not keeping their place. The knots slide around on you. If you edit the netting to allow an opening for a dockline or other item, the knots come undone and it's a complete mess. You have to hot knife any cut you make and weld loose ends together, which fray when you cut them. To prevent extreme fraying, you must tape the lines before you cut them otherwise they turn into a fluffy mess. Unfortunately I let the product sit for more than a month before actually beginning my project, otherwise I would have returned this item immediately and bought the Sailrite stuff for slightly more money but a great reputation and good quality. This stuff is horrible. I've spent 3 days installing on the sailboat and unfortunately, this will probably end up in the trash in not much time. Scam product.

Nice quality, strong netting. Perfect for wrapping my sailboat and making it safe for my son. Good quality and strong. Looks like it will last.
