Follow the footnotes!!!
If you read this book without looking up all the footnotes, you will have missed a great deal of perspective. I suggest Google Scholar open while read this book. I found myself reading for days on a single chapter as the footnotes sent me to other researchers to determine the factual nature of Sussman's writing. I was pleasantly surprised at just how many scientists actually did not see CO2 as a poison or even the cause of climate change. The best thing to do while reading the footnote articles in Google scholar is to also click on the link below the article where it shows number of times cited. This will lead you to all the different opinions on the article Sussman interpreted for his book. If you do it this way, I guarantee you will have your eyes opened to what is clearly two different conversations on climate change: political one and a scientific one. Basic science teaches correlation does not equal causation, but the media and political figures tend to violate that on many research findings. Climategate is one man's research and opinion (based largely in science and partly in a politics) that will open thousands of doors if you follow the chain of evidence in his citations. This was the best book I have read on the topic, even though most of what I learned was from articles the book pointed me to rather than was actually in the book. After reading this, I now have a renewed faith in our scientific community, and a continued disgust for our political leaders around the world.

That last a common sense approach to understanding the real reason behind environmental policies
When I first started reading the book I thought the authors opinions were a bit too conspiratorial. After completing the book however I was very impressed and and convinced that indeed the carbon Trading scams are simply ways to transfer money which were implemented mainly through the United Nations and other countries which are trying to find a way for Americans to export more of their money to other nations based upon our gross domestic product. Before you scoff at this read the entire book and pay particular attention to how the global warming policies have a little to do with changing the environment and how they are designed mainly as a transfer of wealth. If you are staunch believer in anthropogenic climate change you will probably not be dissuaded from your beliefs by the author's opinions in this regard, but you owe it to yourself to at least read the last half of the book and notice the national and international laws being placed under the guise of lowering CO2 emissions. I am by no means a fan of conspiracy theories, but if you use Occam's razor it is clear that the proposed legislations are designed more to expand control and increase the tax burdens upon the lower and middle class.

A good take on the AGW debate
A highly recommended read.I have read many books on the Climate Debate and AGW. Most focus heavily on the science debate. What I liked about this book was the expose of the insidious creep of government policies cloaked in a ‘green, eco mantle’ which are driven by a hidden agenda many would not believe exists and which is frightening in its reaches into our everyday lives. For some, this book may not provide enough of the science to understand how the Earth’s climate works and why CO2 is not the driver of climate change. For those readers I would recommend John Kehr’s ‘Inconvenient Skeptic’ as an excellent reference on the forces driving our climate.

Enough wrong for this book to be called propaganda.
Spoiler: Any book mentioning Karl Marx in the very first sentence is like to be political, rather than scientific. The author was once a weather man, and long ago became a right wing radio jock.I paged through it, looking for facts that could be checked. First off, on page 58 he confuses USA temperature trends with Global temperature trends. This is a most favored tactic of the right wing, big oil, or religious "skeptics". Cherry-picking some cold weather somewhere is another. Other "facts" are just plain false. Other things that are somewhat true get twisted and stretched beyond truth or significance. If you want to learn the science, start with Global Warming on Wikipedia. But don't just take their word for it, read their references to learn the science directly, and to confirm if Wiki has quoted them accurately.

Not a denier but a reasonable skeptical review of political drive
Nice explanation of faulty science behind political hype. Good comments on Al Gore.

Debunks the science of the global warming hysteria.
Brings logic and clarity to false global warming claims. A must read whether you’re an activist or a skeptic. It’s nice to read some truth!

This is the best singe book on this subject that I have foud.
This book places the AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warning) debate in a larger context and supp[ies a vast array of references to allow the reader to verify the material under discussion. It is the best one volume discussion of the issues that I have found. But it urgently needs a new edition since it was written during the Obama administration

Excellent Read
For all of the people who think that manmade global warming is"real" educate yourself and find out what is really going on. The UN and the globalist elites are dead set on ramming their socialist Agenda 21 down our throats. WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

Disappointed
I expected this book to be on Climategate but that was only in one chapter, and not much in there about it. There are quite a few better books on the subject with a lot more detail. Sussman's book "The Mad,Mad, Mad World of Climatism is better and covers most of the stuff of his Climategate book.

Another view on climate change
The author through a series of science and data provides an alternative debate, challenging those who say the science is settled Readers should keep an open mind when reading this book, regardless of their personal views.
