Great Bar
I really like this bar. One thing is it's pretty heavy about 180 lbs. from the invoice. It has a ton of space for such a small foot print and holds all my liquor and glasses . When opening the top up the wood is thick and heavy with plenty of room to operate . For the price I paid for it I think it is worth much more. It is not too hard to put together and it would have been nice to have help but it was manageable . Need to buy some rubber mats to keep the top dry and some sliders for the feet to move it around. One more thing it looks good either way it is facing.

Hard to put together but awesome bar
I recieved this product this summer. It came in 2 different shipments and in 3 different boxes. It took me about 4 hours to put together myself. Looking back I wish I had waited for someone else to help me. There are times when you have to lift heavier pieces and I scratched it once. The finished product is great. One piece I put together had to be redone because it wouldn't shut all the way. That semi sucked to do but now that we have adjusted it, the doors close just fine. This bar is able to hold all of our wine glasses, champagne glasses, martini glasses, wines, liqours, etc. It's perfect for us. We did not end up using the wine glass holder becuase it was too small. Our wine glass bottoms are larger than the slots in this bar. We ended up keeping our wine glasses upright sitting ontop of a shelf. It looks fine and works perfectly for us.Overall I think for the price this is a great product.

Impressed with this Value Oriented Crosley Piece
This is nice enough to be the first thing my clients will see when they walk in the door. It will serve as the front counter in my office. It was less expensive than purchasing a commercially offered product and it offers a rich look at a value oriented price that hopefully serve well into the future. I did not glue the dowels which may serve to strengthen the assembly. I note that I am a Crosley fan and I have two other pieces that accent my professional office. I think they make a positive, rich-look impression. Know, however, that they are built to a price and contain significant medium density fiberboard, or, MDF, which begins life as sawdust and then is pressed together with a glue spray. Some of the tactical pieces that are front and center are solid pieces of wood, like the bar sections themselves. You can tell these are solid. I believe the front panel may be as well. But just know this is not a solid hardwood constructed piece. You would have to pay 5-10 times more for such a piece from a reputable furniture store and that was not what I needed or sought. I knew what I was getting into with this value oriented piece. If you go in eyes-open and do not expect extremely high quality, you will get what you pay for.

Much Nicer Than Expected
With teen-aged kids, I've assembled my share of cheap chipboard dorm room style furniture in the past, and I have experienced more than my share of "Oh, crap!" moments (i.e., a 1/4 turn of the screwdriver split a drawer front, holes were not drilled by the manufacturer, doors wouldn't align, etc. etc.). But I'm happy to report that this expandable bar was a pleasant surprise! The quality of the pieces do not compare to some of the garbage sold by Wal-Mart and IKEA. The bar is rock solid and easy to assemble. You really don't need two people as some have suggested; you just need to unpack, organize the pieces, and follow the instructions without rushing. One thing I do for added peace of mind is to glue up the joined edges and wooden pegs; the cam locks act as a clamp and hold the pieces snugly in place. Do not go overboard with the glue if you choose to go that route, and use furniture glue. Clean up and excess immediately. It makes the finished piece much more solid and "permanent." The finished piece is quite attractive. When friends stop by they seem to take a b-line to the bar--though that may have more to do with what's in it! I did come up one cam lock short, so I called Crosley and they quickly sent me out a few extras w/ no questions asked. As it turned out, I found a baggie of left over cam locks from earlier projects, so I didn't even need the extras...but nice to have around. This is a good product, and we love having it.

Avoid this product like the plague
This product is enormously complex and time consuming to assemble, and if you don't have a lot of experience with this kind of assembly I strongly recommend you pass it by because it's not going to turn out look anything like it does in the pictures, it will wobble and the doors won't hang straight. It's basically a kit with hundreds of individual parts. The main problem is that the wood pieces all attach to each other at critical points using a cam locking system. There are about a hundred of these cams. Each one has to be inserted exactly perfectly or the cam won't lock properly which means the wood pieces won't join properly and your bar will keep coming apart. It took me pretty much a whole day to assemble it and when I was finished it looked pretty horrible. When I called Crosley's "customer service" all they could tell me was I'd have to take it apart and re-assemble it, this time making sure all the cam bolts were inserted properly. That will probably take me another day at least but I have to do it because right now I looks like a cheap piece of crap.
