This product exceeded my expectations, I usually use a 3/4 gold barrel (Hot tools) to curl my hair that I have loved for years. I have also experimented with many other wands from professional brands to generic brands. Overall my hair naturally, is completely straight, fine, with moderate amount of hair but no body at all. So I have always had troubles getting my hair to hold curls. This product does a marvelous job. The long barrel makes it easy to get all my hair wrapped around. The barrel is not round but more of an oval shape which really helps with the beach/messy wave effect and it was hot enough to get my hair to curl. The wand is very elegant and professional looking as well. It is lighter then my normal curling wand and feels kinda of cheap plastic. But it worked amazing. Also the digital screen shows you the temperature while it heats up, so there is no need to guess when to start curling. Overall it is very easy to use and works great. I bought this wand solely for use while I’m Germany because I was confused about converters and adapters and if it would actually work, so I opted to buy a curling wand that was 100-240v, so I won’t have to worry about converting and burning my hair off. But after testing it out I think I have a new favorite wand! Will update how it works during my trip.Update: two days later after working a 12 hour shift, sleeping and working out, curls are still beautiful! (See picture with pink shirt)

This is my first curling wand. I have very fine hair and was concerned about not achieving the waves I wanted, but this was incredibly easy to use and I haven't had a bad style with it yet. I love that it ready the temp so I don't have to guess if it is ready to use and the bonus gloves not only helps expedite the styling task but I haven't burned my hand yet! (Thank God!) If you are thinking about purchasing this for a friend/family member, it comes in a gorgeous box with a magnetic closer that you can use again and again and the other flexible case is super handy as well with the zipper closure! I will try to post pictures and a video this weekend. This mom of two boys (who doesn't get to spend a lot of time on her do) is more than happy with this purchase!!!! THANK YOU!

I have very long, waist length hair and needed a new wand. I wanted to co clip-less because I was tired of strands of hair getting caught in the screw that attached the clip. I always pulled out too much hair. This wand got good reviews so I ordered it. The pros are: heats up quick, curls hair well even with lower temp setting, comes with heat-proof case and glove. For me the cons are as I'm winding my hair around it keeps slipping down the barrel. Even if I try to get it tight enough it sort of slips and therefore unwinds a bit. Also it's hard to get the very ends wound around just because of this AND the glove makes you lose your grip at the very end and I wind up having straight ends for about an inch. ON the plus side I only need to set it to 300-310 and it literally curls in seconds. They last for days because I don't wash my hair every day. They loosen up by day 2 and 3 but still look great with large waves. I guess I need to just practice more to get the ends to stay on the barrel. If you're good at using clip-less wands this is a great one. If you're new to it there is a definite learning curve.

Oh my! I absolutely love this wand by Xtava. I had never used a wand before, I usually just use a flat iron or curling iron. I never had been able to get super beachy waves with my curling iron, but this wand did the trick. I have three daughters plus myself that I have to curl hair on several times a week. This wand was super fast. It heats up in a matter of seconds. It has a digital display so you can watch the temperature rise. It comes with a glove that you put on to protect your hand from burns. It has an auto turn off button after 1 hour so if you forget to unplug it, it will automatically shut off. That is a great safety feature.You can take bigger sections of hair and the wand will make perfect waves. It is much faster than using a curling iron or flat iron to curl your hair, and it lasts all day long. Mine lasted clear threw the 2nd day. Love this curling iron! I was using the old school curing iron before this purchase so getting the hang of how to curl took me a minute. Within seconds of turning it on, the iron was so hot I burnt myself (which I was not used to). My hair took maybe 10 minutes to curl my entire head. Very impressed and would highly recommend this product to anyone else.

I found this hard to use. It burned my hair with a strong heat protector. It was hard to hold and get good angles and unlike curling irons any very sight touch of the skin left me with bad burns. Hard to get the hang of it. Thank goodness for the glove,....but still too hot!!! I have to hold the end of my hair close to the barrel and 'even with the glove' it is very hot.My curling iron and flat iron do NOT burn my hair ever, this does damage after one to two uses. Do not use it.The loose curl was nice but with a "TON" of heat protector spay but still burned. I am doing it at the "same" lower degree as my curling iron. Do NOT turn it all the way up. It will burn your hair. I HAD IT AT 330 AND IT STILL BURNED MY HAIR with the HEAT protector spray IN SECONDS.Buying a hot roller set. This sucks.Trash.
