Up to the usual high Pevsner standard after an eight-year wait since the companion volume Hampshire: North was published.Many high-quality colour photographs along with black and white drawings and plans which add visual information to the text.I was pleased as always by the huge range of buildings covered and the detail in the descriptive entries.Highly recommended for lovers of Hampshire, the Pevsner guides and the built environment.

This volume quite came up to my expectations. The high standard of companion volumes has been maintained. The book arrived from Blackwell on time and well packed.
