LG G8S 4G Smartphone 128GB SIM-Free, 6.2" Full HD+ Display, 6GB RAM, mirror black

I am using it for few weeks and cannot complain. I do a lot of stuff and have many apps on my phone, still it is fast and works with no issues. If you don't mind heavier phone and EU charger (got myself UK fast charger separately and it works super quick) Battery holds quite long. I would recommend without hesitation. Really decent phone, good value for money.

Excellent phone, sound quality is amazing. Better than my HTC M10, very impressive. Wow!!!!

I like the big battery, the decent amount of RAM and storage and the OLED screen is nice too. The Google assistant button seems a bit pointless to me, though it can be disabled, it's frustrating that it couldn't be reassigned to something I find more useful. My main gripe with this phone is the enormous "notch". Honestly it would be better described as a channel. It covers at least 70% of the width of the top of the screen. What's left on either side is a very small area weirdly referred to as "New Second Screen" in the settings. Unfortunately, this tiny amount of space is no-where near enough for the notification bar to fit in and you are given no options to relocate the notification bar anywhere else to make it more useful. The result is that besides the clock (which I haven't worked out how to turn off), the WiFi Status, the phone network indicator and the battery icon, there's only enough space left for 2, that's right, JUST 2 NOTIFICATIONS. LG could fix this problem in the software by extending the notification area below the notch, and I have made this suggestion. As it is, this limitation is infuriating. The Always on Display (AOD) is a small part of the OLED display which stays active while the rest is off to save battery in standby. It shows the clock, the day/date and a few notification icons. Here, we have the luxury of 3. Unfortunately, if you have an application which tries to communicate its status to you through adjustments to the notification icon (like the xdrip+ blood glucose monitoring app I use does, drawing numbers on its own icon so I can see levels at a glance without having to open the full app), you'll find these are always hopelessly out of date since the icons images used on the AOD are clearly not refreshed in a timely fashion.

It wasn't new, as advertised.

An awesome phone, excellent camera and lot of features compared to other 855 based mobile. The only con is that it's still running Android 9. Hope LG provides updates to Android 10. Come on LG!

I got this to upgrade from my LG G5, which I really liked but it was getting a bit out-dated/laggy. I like the user interface and the LG's innovative spirit so I wanted to stick with the LG brand for my next phone. I am quite surprised how underrated this flagship phone is as I am very happy with my LG GSs Thinq. It is a sleek looking phone with great build quality. The OLED display is clear and vibrant and the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor ensures smooth running of the phone. The camera is great and was the biggest improvement from my LG G5. The phone comes with a transparent gel case in the packet which is great as it turns out it is quite difficult to find a case and a screen protector for this model in the UK. Mine came with an EU charger, not the UK one. At £328 from Amazon (at the time of purchase - June 2020) it was a real bargain and great value.

Regalato a mia moglie. Io ho da 4 anni un LG G4 e ancora va benone, anche la batteria ancora dura con un uso moderato 1 giorno. Ok, ci sono smartphone migliori e con immediati aggiornamenti all'ultima versione di Android, ma ad oggi il prezzo di questo top di gamma non si batte. LG non sarà il massimo quando lancia un prodotto, ma già dopo 1-2 mesi il prezzo crolla e diventa un affarone. Anche questo smartphone come il mio G4 non si blocca mai, risponde immediatamente ai comandi, ottimo audio e video, riconoscimento facciale e impronte digitali efficacissimi. La batteria discreta, poteva avere maggiore autonomia, si arriva a stento a fine giornata. Dicono sia fragile, comunque a mia moglie grazie ai bimbi piccoli è già caduto 3 volte sul pavimento di casa e non ha subito danni. Però ci ha messo la protezione fornita da LG e una pellicola di protezione del display. Le dimensioni e il peso, insieme alla batteria, sono i punti deboli di questo smartphone, ma lo consiglio vivamente a tutti!

Fidèle amateur des smartphones lg depuis le g2, me voilà en possession du g8s et franchement ! Il déchire je recommande pour ceux qui aime cette marque écran de très bonne qualité design impeccable menu et navigation au top rien à envier à ces concurrent chinois et américain. Reçu au bout de 4 jours en provenance du Portugal et fonctionne parfaitement.

He de reconocer que tenia mis dudas sobre la tienda, porque no tenia buenas referencias en Amazon, pero sacaron este movil a un precio excepcional y me arriesgue en la compra. He de decir que de 10, el paquete vino en perfecto estado, antes de tiempo y el paquete interior del propio telefono, cerrado con sus precintos y sus pegatinas oficiales. El telefono viene con una funda protectora trasera transparente. Un puntazo para LG por incorporar esta funda. Hace unas fotos que se salen. Con sus 3 camaras traseras las fotos y los videos son geniales. Tiene una opcion retrato que difumina el fondo de la foto y es increible el resultado. Fotos superbonitas. Con las 2 cámaras delanteras tambien hace unas fotos increibles. La pantalla Oled hace que disfrutes de unos colores realistas y profundos. Vas a flipar. La bateria para mi, es suficiente para que te dure todo el dia y te sobra. Otra cosa es que estes enganchado a el todo el dia y no te llegue. Ese no es mi caso. Otra cosa que me ha llamado la atencion, es que tiene un boton en el lateral de acceso directo al google assist, pidele lo que quieras, menos que te haga la comida, eso te toca a ti. Es un telefono muy bonito, funcional y estupendo. LG es una marca que saca muy buenas prestaciones a un precio muy ajustado. Antes de comprar, haz un seguimiento del precio del telefono. Fluctua como la bolsa. Compara con los modelos anteriores y en otras tiendas y cuando lo tengas a tiro, no dudes y dispara para llevarte este pedazo de PEPINO llamado LG G8S.

Nach langer Zeit muss ich jetzt einfach mal eine Bewertung abgeben. Ich habe mir lange überlegt ob ich mir das LG G8s hole oder nicht. Ich habe viele Testberichte und Videos gesehen. Oft wurden Dinge schlecht dargestellt oder nieder gemacht was ich gar nicht verstehen kann. So als erstes fangen wir mal bein Handy selbst an... Das Design vom LG G8s ist sehr schön. Es ist hervorragend verarbeitet. Man könnte wirklich denken man hat ein IPhone in der Hand. Das Mirror Black ist wirklich sehr sehr schön. Vom Gehäuse her gibt es nix zu meckern. Für mich 5 von 5 Sterne. Das Betriebssytem ist sehr überschaulich. Schon nach dem einschalten wird man perfekt durch die ersten Schritte geleitet und das alles sehr übersichtlich. Nach dem alles erledigt ist mit dem Einrichten war ich dabei einfach mal zu schauen wie alles aufgebaut ist und ich muss sagen SPITZE! Alles auf den Handy ist sehr übersichtlich. Allein die anordung der Apps gefällt mir spitze. Man hat kein nerviges zwischen Menü wie bei Samsung. Man kann alles auch nach belieben schön sortieren. Auch das Einstellungs Menü ist sehr übersichtlich. Viele fanden die unterteilung in Kategorien nervig, ich nicht! Endlich muss ich nicht mehr ewig suchen um Klingelton oder Speicher zu finden, sondern kann mich ganz einfach an den Überschriften orientieren. Das Display des LG ist wirklich rießieg und vollkommen ausrreichen. Um mit dem Dauemen nach oben zu gelangen mit der Einhandbedienung muss man ihn schon wirklich strecken. Das OLED Display ist sehr hübsch. Die Farben sind richtig kräftig und alles ist sehr klar. Für mich gibt es hier nix zu meckern. 5 von 5 Sternen. Mit der Leistung des LG kann man sehr zufrieden sein. Wie bei allen anderen Herstellern ist der schnellste Prozessor verbaut was man gerade beim Surfen im Internet merkt oder beim Spielen von Leistungstarken Games. Es läuft alles sehr flüssig und schnell. Der Akku ist sehr gut. Nach einem ganzen Tag Nutzung immer noch 80 Prozent. Da kann Samsung einpacken. Die akkus von Samsung funktionierten nie. Deshalb bin ich zu LG gewechselt und es überzeugt mich jetzt schon. 5 von 5 Sternen. Besonderheiten. Oft wurde das LG kritiesiert das es keine besonderheiten hat um sich von der Masse abzuheben. Braucht es das? Das LG hat genauso die wichtigsten Funktionen wie IPhone oder Samsung! Die Gesichterkennung ist schnell auch im Dunkeln. Ich weiß nicht was manche geschrieben haben das es ewig dauert. Wenn man sein gesicht richtig einspeichert nach den Anweisungen geht es schnell. Der Fingerabdrucksensor sitzt hinten am Phone was gar nicht schlecht ist, da man es schon beim nehmen entsperren kann. Selbst mit nassen Fingern hat das super funktioniert. Kommen wir zur oft kritiesierten Gestensteuerung. Viele haben gesagt das geht nicht und ist unnütz bla bla bla...also ich weiß nicht was manche machen aber anscheinend machen sie einiges falsch. Die Gestensteuerung funktioniert perfekt. Es klappt. Punkt aus Ende. Und gerade wenn man dreckige hände hat ist diese sehr praktisch! 5 von 5 Sterne So die Kamera. Tja was soll ich sagen einen unterschied zur Konkurrenz seh ich nicht. Die Bilder sind nicht schlechter und nicht besser. Die vielen beschrieben unschärfen konnte ich auch nach wiederholtem testen nicht sehen. Da frag ich mich ob nicht der Mensch vieles falsch bedient? Vor allem sollte man sich kein Handy wegen einer Kamera holen. Lieber eine Spiegelreflex Kamera kaufen wenn man sehr schöne Bilder haben will! 5 von 5 Sterne Fazit: Ich kann nur sagen das LG ist genauso perfekt wie alle andern Smartphones in der Oberklasse und das LG ist dabei um einiges günstiger. Warum das LG oft kritisiert wird weiß ich nicht. Es macht nichts falsch und vieles sehr gut und richtig. Vor allem die Aktion mit dem kostenlosen Fernseher war klasse, da können andere Hersteller sich eine scheibe abschneiden. Für mich ist das LG G8s der Geheimtipp. Es ist ein tolles Handy ohne irgendwelche Release Probleme mit akku etc. Für mich Preisleitung 5 von 5 Sternen und eine klare Kaufempfehlung für diejenigen die eine günstigere Alternative zum IPhone suchen!

Si tiene bene in mano, anche se è abbastanza grande. Molto buono il software di base: comandi con risposta ultrarapida e vasta gamma di app necessarie e non. Il reparto fotografico veramente eccezionale. L'apparecchio corrisponde perfettamente alle molte recensioni sul web e ha tutti i pregi (moltissimi) e i difetti (veramente pochi) rilevati dai recensori professionali. A mio parere gli unici piccoli difetti sono: batteria forse un po' "leggera" per le potenzialità del prodotto (si arriva tranquillamente a sera, garantito, anche con richieste pesanti ma se lo si usa molto, una ricarica giornaliera d'obbligo e con uso moderato a due giorni si fa fatica ad arrivarci. La seconda il software di riconoscimento gestuale. Intendiamoci, anche se funzionasse bene ( ed invece molto macchinoso) personalmente lo trovo solo un giochino un po' stravagante che serve solo per buttare fumo negli occhi, ma, all'atto pratico, non serve praticamente a niente, visto che presente un ottimo riconoscimento 3D del viso e un rapidissimo riconoscimento dell'impronta (che, personalmente, ritengo la pi sicura e la pi consigliabile). Detto questo (e premesso che non sono uno che cambia smartphone una volta all'anno e quindi non sono in grado di fare paragoni con i pari livelli di altri marchi (Samsung, Iphone, Xiaomi, Hauwei ecc...)), ritengo il G8S THINQ uno dei migliori acquisti che abbia mai fatto.
