I found the tens machine to be a god send when I went into active labour. I put it on when at 2cm and I found it absolutely unbelievable how much it helped me.I recommend this model as it has the boost button so you can ramp it up with ease with each contraction. I hadn't practised before hand so I do recommend you do that as I had to learn how to use it whilst contracting.I don't know if its because the machine helped block the pain or if it was more of a distraction, but the midwifes were amazed how happy I was.... I managed to get to 6cm with no other pain relief, I was transferred to labour room at 6cm where they took it off after about 10 mins and replaced with gas and air and baby arrived less than an hour later.I hand on heart think it is worth every single penny and will recommend TENS to every pregnant lady I know, it made my birth experience stress free which I think helped speed everything up :)Good luck!

I had read the reviews about it not working and the error on the screen so I tested it when I received it to check it worked. It worked fine.When I actually went into labour it wouldn't work at all and showed the error code. We tried trouble shooting but nothing worked.I had my baby at home and thanks to this rubbish product I had no pain relief apart from 2 paracetamol and a bath.We missed the return window because my baby was in hospital fighting an infection so I spent £50 and can't even get a refund.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Thanks to this my birth experience was amazing ! Used the tens and gas/air for a vaginal delivery. Worth every penny. Must buy for expecting moms

Product failed its purpose in such an important moment.On day of labour when the TENS was needed it completely failed.I followed all instructions completely and yet was receiving and error message which was not even listed on the instruction manual.Pads were placed correctly, all was wired up correctly but the only way I managed to get it partially working was by touching both upper pads with one hand which completed the circuit as such and it “functioned”.Useless, avoid!

I bought this tens machine as I’ve been suffering with sciatica during pregnancy and was planning on using as a pain relief during labour but I’ve gone to use it at 37weeks now and it just isn’t working, all the symbols on the screen are flashing and what ever I try I can’t get it to work. So annoying as I now need to buy an alternative, if I want to use one for labour

Didn’t work despite multiple attempts and following trouble shooting. Unfortunately return window closed the day after labour. Luckily managed to buy a cheaper TENS from Boots, which worked easily and would recommend you go for that instead. Extra features aren’t worth the money if you can’t even get a connection.
