Soup Chef, Stainless Steel 1.6L Soup Maker with Sauté, Auto Clean & Keep Warm Function Includes Recipe Book (Classic Chrome)

We'd seen this on one of those shopping channels on TV. The soups they made looked so good we decided to buy one and give it ago.Most days at work both me and my wife have a soup for lunch - either from a café or a tin of soup blasted in the microwave. The soups aren't always brilliant and tend to be loaded with salt (not ideal as I have high blood pressure).Both of us are becoming more conscious of what we eat and knowing what goes in to our food is very important to us.After reviewing the recipe book (which comes in the box) and other recipes on the manufacturers website we decided to have a go at making a roasted butternut squash soup. OMG, the smell of the pancetta whilst being sautéed in the soup maker was amazing! We literally threw in all the other ingredients, put the lid on, selected the 'smooth soup' setting, pressed start and let the machine do the rest. For this recipe a timer came on for 19 minutes which we think can increase to 26 minutes for other types of soups - more go's will confirm this. You hear the soup begin to simmer/boil and then with about 7-8 minutes to go you here the soup makers blade whizz around blending the contents of the pot. It does this a few more times before finishing and going straight to a 'keep warm' mode.The soup was so smooth and tasted as good as any we have had in many a good restaurant.Cleaning was just as easy. A wipe of the pot to remove any remaining soup, add a drop of washing up liquid, some warm water, replace the lid and select 'auto clean' - simple as that. The only reason why we haven't scored it a 5 is because we need to use it a few more times before we can make that decision. For now though it looks great in the kitchen and we feel like we have got good value for our investment. Would highly recommend especially with dark night on the way!

This product is absolutely fabulous. Its a great machine that's easy to use and makes the most amazing soup in absolutely no time at all. After have three of one the other well known soup machines which never seemed to last more than about 12 months but that I was too scared to diversify from I'm pleased to say that I eventually took the plunge. It's powerful, quick and very efficient, capable of making delicious soups in record time with absolutely no skill whatsoever so five stars all day long.

I'm soup addited, I make myself and this is a God sent, bought this in November last year 2019, now in June 2020 stopped working. The soute works ok but the actual cooking doesn’t work anymore, I’m doing everything right so I don’t see why it doesn’t work now. Street tv who advertise it doesn’t want to know because I bought from amazon. Anyone had the sesame problem.?

Product worked well on first use. During second use eight days later, worked for SAUTE mode and initially during SMOOTH mode. After 5-minutes, the power supply RCD circuit breaker tripped. It would not reset until the soup maker was disconnected, indicating a short circuit within the product. Item returned for refund and a replacement of a different make ordered.

This amazing gadget arrived yesterday but the recipe book I ordered for it isn't coming until tomorrow but it has an awesome recipe book with it! I'm not sure about the "Chilled Cherry" soup but I'm certainly going to make all of the rest.The photo is of the Butternut Squash, Chilli & Coconut and it tastes devine! I mean really amazing.The blade may look small but the soup is perfectly blended.There's even desserts in the recipe book.It has a setting Smooth + which you can use for smoothies and milk shakes.The saute function allows you to dry fry spices and fry onions etc.The keep warn function stops it cooking but then it's ready when you're ready.The auto clean function make it so easy as you only need to pour the water out, give it a wipe dry and it's done.Unlike the more expensive brand, it has a spout for easy pouring.I've been very poorly recently and have struggled to actually fancy anything at all to eat - except soup really - but also not had the energy to stand there stirring it etc. This has totally solved all of my problems!So grateful that I found this wonderful gadget and just know that we'll be very happy together.Thank you
