Bright!!!
I don't write many reviews, and I am not a paid reviewer...I bought this product with my own money at the full price. This light is bright, like a car headlight on the high beam brightness, and it is awesome. It is well manufactured, solid and functions well. The kit that comes with this has everything you need to hook it up to your bike, head or whatever. I used the diffuser on the light, because it makes the beam wider and covers more of an area, and the installation was simple and came with everything you need. I also hooked up the taillight, and it is a nice quality item that came with the required batteries...you can see it in picture number 4.I did have an issue with the charger or the battery, I wasn't sure which it was, so I reached out to the company and was emailed back very quickly from Donald who said he was shipping out replacements. Turns out it was the charger, a simple little broken piece, and now everything is great. This was top quality, personalized customer service on top of an incredible product...what more can you ask for? I know there are $10 lights out there, but once you ride around in a Cadillac, that Ford Pinto doesn't seem like such a deal anymore...this is worth every penny.Picture 1: Light is on bright about 10 feet or so from my garage door...looks exactly like my truck lights (1 beam) in terms of brightness from the same distance.Picture 2: Light on low from about 5 feet away.Picture 3: Light on low with green LEDs lit to show contrast.Picture 4: The included taillight.Picture 5: Just another view.I use this bike to cruise around my neighborhood, and with all of it's lights, I am easily seen. But the headlight absolutely allows me to see whatever I want, it is that bright and I hightly recommend it.

Buy this light! :)
I bought this light for my wife's mountain bike. I do a lot of night time single-track riding and have much more expensive lights but wanted something that would provide good light and not break the bank for her bike in case she didn't like night rides. Out of the box, the BRIGHT EYES Helios Fully Waterproof 1600 Lumen Rechargeable Light comes with the spot light lens installed. It has a very strong, bright white light that creates a circle about ten feet wide on the trail ahead. Switching out the lens to the diffuser creates a moderately wider beam but drastically softens the edges which vastly improves the single-track riding experience. Switching the lens isn't difficult but it does involve some very tiny screws which could be lost on the trail. I would strongly recommend making the switch at home where you won't lose them. On two hour rides, the beam does not weaken and the housing did not become overly hot. The battery pack is huge in a good way and easily straps onto the bike frame. We have 35mm handlebars and the mounting system held firmly without rolling forward. On bars with a smaller diameter it might be necessary to use some bar tape or other material to thicken the mounting location. It comes with a ton of attachments for various mounting options and is even mentioned to work on top of a helmet with the battery presumably in a backpack or pocket but while the light isn't particularly heavy, it is too heavy for a mountain bike helmet. We found this light with the diffuser lens to be an excellent match when partnered with a dedicated wide beam helmet light. It got on my radar when I read about it on various MTB website light reviews and I'm glad I came across it. For the price, you'd be hard pressed to find another light that will perform as well. Where it needs to be improved is that it is not totally water resistant. The lens has a rubber gasket and the power button in the back has a rubber grommet type cover but where the power cord feeds into the housing from the bottom could potentially leak water in if one were to submerge their bicycle while crossing a river, etc. This isn't a scenario many riders will come across and rain will not present any problems at all. There would be virtually no chance of damage in a rainstorm but I would be wary of using a hose on it while washing the bike for fear of water pressure pressing up and getting water in the housing. Thankfully, mounting and removal is a sixty second job at most. Also, if anything happens to it, the company will respond to your messages on Amazon incredibly fast and does everything it can to right the issue for you. They even send out an Amazon message offering you extra free mounting bands as a thank you for buying their product. I've gotten a ton of compliments for this light and had a bunch of friends get the same light because of what they saw. Buy this light, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent light at the price point, only a couple very minor issues.
I waited a while before posting my review so that I could actually use it for a few months and see if any problems turned up.First off, I'd actually give this a 4.5/5, it's quite excellent at the price point, with a couple minor issues.Let's do the pros first:Run time does indeed exceed the 3.5 hour rating, in my testing I get about 4 hours and 20 minutes out of a fully charged battery, running on High the entire time. I haven't tested run time at other levels, but I'm inclined to believe those would be excellent as well. The supplied rubber O-ring mount works fine. Yes, it has the tendency to shift around a little if you mount it as pictured, but the best solution for this doesn't require applying tape and all sorts of things to your handlebars: simply mount it upside down, and the weight of the light head will be as low as it can go, so it won't be inclined to rotate downwards as you ride.I've only ridden once in the rain with it, but during that ride I had no issues at all, with any part of the system. The included beam-spreader (which I haven't actually felt the need for) seems to work well, but I put the regular glass back in.The light itself IS very bright, and it does seem to be using the Cree XM-L2 LEDs, which yes, under factory test conditions can produce up to 1200 lumens. Once you take into consideration losses from driver inefficiency, optical losses at the reflector and lens, heat inefficiency from the LED itself, I would estimate this is running between 500 and 800 OTF lumens. I own a higher-end flashlight with the same LED, and it appears slightly brighter to the eye, but the flashlight has a beam profile that is tighter than the bike light, so naturally it would appear "brighter".I run two of these, one on my bars and one on my helmet, and it's plenty of light. I haven't experienced any failures of the light, switch, wires, battery, or mount. Do note that the mount isn't technically adjustable from side to side, but I believe there is a screw underneath the mount that you could loosen and redo the angle of the mount if necessary.Modes are simple and easy to move through: High - Med - Strobe - OFF, or push and hold a couple seconds to access the extra modes. The secondary modes are remembered until you disconnect the battery. I don't mind too much, since I don't really use the extra modes, but if that's important to you, there it is.The only cons that I've experienced:The green indicator light built into the power button (which is supposed to turn red for low battery) doesn't give you much more than about 30 seconds of notice before the light shuts off. I thought it was supposed to warn at 10% battery capacity, but I've tested it a few times and it definitely goes red less than a minute before turning off. Again, for the price point, not terrible, and since my commute is about an hour and ten minutes, I just make sure to charge after every third ride. If I get stuck on a fourth ride without charging, I'll run the light on medium and keep the helmet light off, and then if the bar light dies, I have the helmet light as a backup.I also noticed once that the battery seemed to drain if left plugged in after being shut off. Now, that could be a coincidence based on it not being charged enough since I only noticed it when I first got the light, and I haven't done any tests since to confirm. I always disconnect the light from the battery after a ride now. Note that the green indicator light was not lit during that first apparent battery drain, which really leaves me no idea what may have caused it, other than the battery was simply low on arrival. I honestly can't remember if I charged it or not, and even if it does drain while connected to battery and switched off, at this price point I can't complain.TL;DR: Excellent battery life, mount it upside down, don't worry about the rain, it's not quite 1200 lumens but still damn bright, disconnect it after you ride, and don't rely too much on the low battery warning/have a spare battery if you're going to be out for 4+ hours.
