BUY IT if you are looking for one!
This citrus juicer is sturdy. Easy to use. Solid. I do have to hold it down as I push the handle. EASY to clean. EASY to put together. I HIGHLY recommend it. I juiced a pomegranate and it was PERFECT!!! I am very impressed! I am so glad we finally bought this! Fresh Grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange... daily!!!

Buy it.
Heavy Duty. It can be disassembled if need be. I had no trouble with anything even coming close to breaking, this must be the proper model. If you are unsure how to use one, there are many youtube videos. One thing I stress, you do not need to completely press this thing down to the end. Although I have no problem doing so, when oranges are pressed to the end I often get the sour rind in the juice. Only press so far as to get the juice out. Often I would even quarter the fruit to make things easier. This thing works and it works well. My life is so much better with fresh oj in the morn.

Juices great, commercial grade, so easy to clean!
Little concerned buying due to the price, I worked at a lemonade stand in high school and we used commercial presses. This one is very close if not the same. I have used it a ton in only a month, works amazing, pomegranate and orange oohee. Does the job with only elbow grease. Very easy cleanup, only thing I noticed is the bolts seem to loosen up, I haven't tightened them but it gets a little cock eyes when they are loose. Pretty sure tightening will bring the clearance back but it's nice.

It has some issues but I'm really happy with my juice press.
I'm really happy with this juice press. I bought this one specifically because it said it could be used on pomegranates, and I bought the used/repackaged one because a scratch or blemish seems inconsequential on something made out of solid cast iron. The unit I received was easy to put together. The funnel and the lower press cone are keyed so there is only one way the parts can be put together into the cast iron base. Everything else was already assembled. The funnel and press cones are made of thick stainless steel and are very sturdy. When I operated the the lever I found that the entire top assembly was loose on the stand pole. It was easily fixed by tightening a single screw with a hex key. I think that given the weight of the base and top assembly, the unit should have been shipped with the top disassembled from the base. The press made quick and easy work of oranges. It is so easy to use and clean that I will be able to pick oranges from the tree and make a single glass of orange juice if I want. For pomegranates, it was a little harder to use. The flesh of the pomegranate is much thicker than the orange peel and retains it's hemispherical shape even in the press. So because the press is cone shaped, only the seeds in the middle get squished into juice and the seeds on the outside just pop out. I think it would be better for pomegranates if a hemispherical press insert could be used. Also, the pomegranates needed a lot of force on the lever, and after the sixth half, the top screw started working loose. Even still, this beats the push and twist hand type juicer any day for pomegranates. With the twisty type juicers, bits of the rind and seed pits fall into the juice and make it bitter. With this, only juice falls out of the press and it tastes much sweeter. Finally, one last negative is that the black rubber used on the handle has an awful smell. It smells like recycled tire rubber.. So really, there were three negatives: 1)the loose top screw, 2)doesn't work as well on pomegranates as I expected, and 3) the yucky rubber smell. But even still, I could only take one star off because now I can easily make a glass of orange juice whenever I have ripe oranges on the tree.

Except for the head bonking - we really love it.
Okay, so we are having way too much fun with this presser. We did pomegranates in December, Lemon's in January and are working on the orange tree as we speak. This is sooooo much easier than our electric one was. One and only issue is that when the handle comes down when the unit is empty you better make sure your head is not in the way. When you clean it you have to have the handle up and it you don't watch it, it can come down pretty hard. I did it twice - you'd think I would learn the first time - and ended up with quite a conk on the head. Just saying that the lever does not stay up unassisted. It's built like a tank and does the fruit in no time at all. We really love it.
