Opaque enough to cover black ink or paint
I got these to work on a black substrate using pin and ink. They're opaque enough to cover over or line over super black India ink or acrylic ink.

Labels and spice jars
I bought this package of paint pens and another package of white gel pens in various thicknesses at the same time because I'd bought a bunch of spice jars that came with black chalkboard labels. The free pen that came with the jars was too thick to write on the small labels, and not opaque enough in general. It was also a chalk pen, so it would smudge with use and wipe off with water. The wiping off part is nice if that's what you want, but I wanted permanence or at least resistance to smudge/erasure.Anyway, these pens were precisely the opacity I wanted, thin enough to use on small round chalkboard labels, and bonus I could use them on the clear glass jars themselves. You have to leave them alone to dry a bit before placing the labels or using the item, but once they dry they're sufficiently durable for my purpose. I am sure if I tried to scratch the paint off I could, but I can grab and unscrew the jars without them smudging. I tried the gel pens also, and while they were thin enough and opaque enough, they were fussier to write with, slightly more irregular. It required my going back over some of the letters to get full coverage. These pens didn't require me to go back over the letters again to get full opacity. Best part is I have six of them now, so I can use them for other purposes as well as just marking my spice jars.

No big blots - write great!
I was looking for a sharpie-type of white marker for hand lettering on a painted piece of wood and was worried about getting a paint pen, as they have a tendency to blot/run. I took a chance on these and they write beautifully! The paint comes through like a regular marker - I will definitely reorder once I work my way through this pack.

Great pens
I have these pens a good workout almost as soon as they arrived. I was worried about how long they would last and the paint flow being too heavy. I am very pleased with both scenarios. They are very easy to create fine accent lines with. I have had issues with other brands having to heavy of a paint flow. As with any new pen you should always test it on a scrap of the material you are going to apply it to first so you can get a feel for it.

Very precise and colour rich.
I bought these for a longboard restoration, specificaly the design I had in mind for the board. Not knowing what the quality of these marker's gonna be like, I bought more of them just in case. Well, I'm done drawing and I used only one marker in the end , which even after few hours of using it and putting pressure on the tip, is still in usable state; the tip is still sharp and there's lots of ink left in. So I can definitelly recommend these for wood, painted wood and varnished wood, even tho the varnished wood needs 2-3 layers, so the colour is richer and there are no gaps or fading.
