This is a great option, it allows me to listen and talk hands-free during meetings while still working on my computer. It's easy to mute the phone so household background noises don't disrupt the meeting, and by purchasing a set of 2 I can sit in on meetings all day without worrying about the battery running out. I just allow one to charge while I use the other. This set works perfectly with the Vtech base phone that I already had, and was very easy to connect. I bought another brand, was not happy, too much work and little buttons just to see to dial a number and was more expensive!I knew the model I bought 4 years ago was not being sold at stores anymore so the search for the same set was on. I finally found the phones I LOVE so much with a great price on Amazon.com. These phones are awesome! They are soooo easy to use and you can see the screen. I especially LOVE that I didn't have to buy the whole set with the answering machine. I just bought extra handsets. They "communicate" with the main base I had before in just seconds. All the numbers I have stored were automatically programmed into each new handset, it was so easy! The volume is great too. They have lots of extras like a intercom button to call another handset ( I don't have to holler my head off to get my daughter who's upstairs in her bedroom) and a clear speaker phone. It's easy to save a number and to look up a number in the built in phone book. The shipping was awesome too. I received my phones in two days! Now I have phones all over my house again which makes life so much easier! When I moved, I discovered that the lack of a speakerphone was creating a huge inconvenience. I also had the dilemma that the home I moved into only had two phone jacks - one in my bedroom and one in my son's nursery. We live in a two story home which meant we would not have a phone downstairs. This type of phone was recommended as a solution. I had previously purchased the base phone to resolve my speakerphone dilemma (I didn't know it was a wireless network phone at the time) so I took the advise given and bought the accessory handsets. We now have three phones all over our home and each one works perfectly. It was very easy to connect them to the base (you just had to carry the receiver into the same room as the base, press find phone, and viola!) The phones communicate so each one says Line In Use when one is being used. It has a voicemail indicator, and caller id storage as well as directory.
