I bought this for my daughter and I ended up doing it myself. It was very hard to do. The board is foam rather than wood (if you find a wood one go with that). The nails kept moving and had to be pushed in farther in order to keep them in place but then it creates a new problem. You can't wrap the thread around enough times to "fill in" the spaces and make the defined lines. If the board was wood rather than foam this could be better but I hated it, my daughter gave up and refused to try more. I swore A LOT while doing this and was pissed off by the time I finished. Save your money, get a piece of wood, nails, and string from hobby lobby and find a pattern on pintrest (you have to make a copy of the pattern from the book by the way, its not already on the board).
