Perfect for hanging a set of curtains that give more options for light/privacy
I was able to install a semi-sheer and sheer curtain using these brackets - some reviewers complain about the quality of the hardware but I found it worked well. Note that I got the 3 bracket set - if your windows are wide then I would recommend getting 3 brackets. I tried to use only 2 but the rods I have (light/cheap ones) started to curve in the middle and so I put the 3rd bracket and now it looks perfect. Fairly sturdy although my rods are not super heavy so I can't speak for people who have more heavy-duty rods or heavier curtains. I think having more brackets should solve any weight issues if you plan to have very heavy drapery though. For the rods I used a very cheap one (can be purchased at the hardware store) that may be 3/8 inch diameter for the one closest to window and one that may be 1" or 1.25" diameter (not sure) that I got from home depot. In case that helps - I did not notice any size diff btw the 2 brackets but some other reviewers have said one rod may be smaller so please measure.

not bad but not really sturdy.
Old curtain rods got torn out of dry wall and these were the replacement. I would say the old ones were weaker and snapped off at the angle. I'm not convinced that's its heavy duty if you are doing a longer span with heavy curtains. Only time will tell but the gauge of metal wasn't impressive.

Ultimate Satisfaction
I purchased a set of "used like new" double rod curtain rods for a large picture window from Amazon that I love. However, after installing the curtains, I realized that, due to a hole in the box from shipping, I was missing many of the small fixture screws that secure the rods in place on the brackets so the rods don't slide when moving the curtains. I contacted Amazon and their solution was returning and exchanging the entire rod set, which wasn't practical. I searched high and low for screws that would fit those tiny bracket holes, and, many purchases and returns later, I found these brackets. I gave them a try and alas, the little rod fixture screws in these brackets fit my amazon double rod brackets perfectly! Although I didn't install these brackets themselves, as my curtain rod set was already installed and I'd invested way too much time and energy in finding the missing fixture screws for my brackets to install new brackets instead of having the satisfaction of finally inserting those tiny fixture screws I had been missing, one by one, getting the satisfaction of a perfect fit each turn of the screw, these brackets are of excellent quality. They are thicker, stronger, and better looking than my "used like new" Amazon brackets. Out of principle, I couldn't bring myself to replace my cheaper, flimsier brackets with these much better quality and much better looking brackets right now, but should something happen to my brackets, or if I move the curtain rod set, I will absolutely swap out my brackets for these ones, currently stashed in my basement missing some fixture screws, which are much sturdier and much more attractive from every angle. If you're looking for high quality and reasonably priced double curtain rod brackets, look no further.

for double Cafe Rod in Kitchen which is a double Window and the supplied wavy Screw was too flimsy.

Generally good, but.......
I needed a double rod bracket in black and got this one. Both my curtain rods are 5/8th diameter, so the back one fits perfect while the front is slightly larger - something I thought would be fine. I just couldn't find a version that was 5/8 both front and back. However, the screws that are used to lock the rods into place are angled in a way that the larger front support screw does not hit a smaller rod to hold it into place. Not a huge deal, but if the hole just went straight into the middle instead of angling up, it would have been able to pin it in place - and I don't think it would cause an issue for a larger rod. This is a good quality, solid bracket - so if you have a 1/2 inch front rod and 5/8 inch back rod - buy it.
