The Manual of Harmonics of Nicomachus the Pythagorean

Egyptian Festivals, Pythagoras, Blacksmith Hammers & Kepler’s Law of Planetary Motion.
Starting as seven strings on a Turtle shell made by Hermes. The sound it produced inspired the Seven Thebean Gates and sealed Orpheus’s fate. It’s been cast out to sea and hung from the Spartan Statehouse ceiling, all in the name of ratio 4:3. This Pythagorean innovation produced the Doric Door, influenced Plato’s Timaeus and outlined geometric progression within Plutarch’s Lambda 27:1. Being a small book on Nicomachus, it's packed with useful knowledge that I really liked. Anyone interested in Music, Engineering, Business Finance or Metaphysics should read it. Likewise, individuals experienced in all the above disciplines will absorb the most from it.

Numbers and Music
Great translation. Even though a "Pythagorean", Nicomachus is an important transitional figure when approaching early Christian exegetical writings.

Challenges the modern mind
Great insight into the mind of the ancient philosopher. Intriguing and quite challenging to the modern mind that takes ancient wisdom for granted.
