A great flashlight. The beam is very bright. And this flashlight is made sturdy. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I don't know why, but I just like lantern flashlights. I remember having them around when I was a kid, and they were always reliable. After a recent, extended power outage, I decided I wanted to have a couple more flashlights on hand. These lanterns were a good deal, especially since they come with the handy little AA adapter. I haven't tried the adapter yet, but the two lanterns I bought work great with my 6v Rayovac batteries, so I'm pretty happy with my purchase. If I go a week without power again, I know these lanterns will get me through it-even if I run out of 6V batteries!Update: I’ve now tried the adapter, and it’s genius! I wish I could buy a few of them separately for my other lantern flashlights.

Good lantern flashlight, better than the similar $5 Eveready Camping Lantern Flashlight, mostly because the EverReady has a truly weak output. This product's 100 lumen output is usable (just barely, but I think the "Dorcy 330 Lumen Waterproof LED Floating Lantern" is a better investment for the much brighter and somewhat warmer light it produces). The flexible battery option will allow me to use up the old, heavy 6V lantern batteries I have in stock, and then switch to the much lighter option of four AA batteries, since this flashlight allows a choice of either. With 4 AA batteries installed, this flashlight is super lightweight -- good for anyone to whom that matters.Dorcy shipped the wrong item on my order of two flashlights, but when I contacted them, they promptly sent the correct items. I appreciated the good customer service.

I like the size and how bright the light is. We bought it for power outages and it really brightens up a room. Plus it comes with batteries, most things don’t so that’s a plus!

I've always preferred the Eveready lantern flashlight w the 6V battery. The 6V lasts forever and no one can snag the batteries out of it for something else and leave you stranded when you're in an emergency situation and end up w a flashlight without working batteries. That said, Eveready changed their design to smaller batteries (C or D?) bc ppl complained about the 6V. So, I came across this brand in a local store and was pleased with it being comparable to my beloved Eveready lantern. I like having the lantern style, one for each room of the house. If you lose power, these sit perfectly on their ends to light up a room well; enough to easily navigate your surroundings. This Dorcy brand was smart enough to stick w the 6V capability plus making a battery insert that also takes 4 AA batteries as well, giving you 2 battery options. Each flashlight also comes w 4 AA batteries. I purchased 2 and received one red and one blue one. I will be purchasing more. They are not heavy to handle, my daughter does well with them and give off plenty of light. I don't often use them outside of the house but the beam goes a long way and I'd feel confident using them outside for sure. Just an FYI, for those of you that have Dollar General stores nearby, they carry their brand of 6V batteries at $4-5 a piece and work great. I grab one to have as extra ever so often when I'm there. Hope this helps someone.

Very light flashlight and very bright. Batteries included. Liked it so bought another one.

Lantern comes with 4 AA batteries, a removable insert which holds 4 AA batteries. Or remove the insert and use one large square 6 volt lantern battery. A problem I had is the supplied AA batteries leaked. I recommend using a quality brand instead, like Duracell. The 4 AA batteries it comes with are junk. They will leak and will ruin the lantern. At least Duracell are "assembled in USA", the Dorcy batteries are "made in CHINA".

Great light, has been used fishing, and camping. Decent illumination with a good throw. Very light with the versatility of either battery source. Its just as good as the old school ones you remember, just no light bulb to burn out fast!

not expensive and do the job, perfect for camping, easy to find. Actually bought 2 because i love the first one soo much.

Everybody needs a good flashlight for emergencies like power outages and investigating loud bumps in the night!It doesn't need a lot of expensive batteries and the light is bright ...... in other words,,,,,,all good!

Good amount of light. Exactly what I was expecting.Has the option to use 1 large battery or aa batteries.

Needed a floating lantern for boat safety , I usually buy these type of lanterns when on sale with the 6 volt battery ( which is usually cheaper than just the battery) but I saw that this one had a perfect option, since trying to find 6 volt batteries lately, to not much success, I seen that this one has an adapter for AA batteries 👍😁 and you can use either in this light. It work’s excellent I was very pleasantly surprised by how bright it is and how great of a price it is. Haven’t used enough yet to see how long the AA batteries last but I’m sure it will be good enough for what I need 👍😎 as well there’s enough space inside the battery adapter to store extra AA batteries too. So far loving it!! Definitely worth buying for anyone needing a good floating lantern for their boat! 👍👍
