THE Best Floating Pool Chair!
Over the years I have tried just about every pool chair out there. The ones you put foam through netting, weak and rips, the cheap blow up ones you buy at Wal-Mart, well, they get holes w/in a week, patches, that's a joke! I even tried SwimWays, because they were a bit cheaper and seemed to have good reviews. Then we needed a 2nd chair, but SwimWays was sold out, so I bought this for myself. The person who kept the SwimWays chair is out of a chair this year. She used it about a dozen times last year, we stored it properly, and got it out, blew it up, and when she got out if, it was half flat! The seams had simply ripped all over the place! Now, the Kelsyus chair is nearly identical, you think, but the craftsmanship is clearly better because I used this exact chair pictured here nearly every day last summer and when I got it out of storage this year and blew it up, perfect shape. No leaks, no holes, no tearing, no ripping, no holes in any seams, still looks brand new!Pros:1. Quality material and craftsmanship!2. Allows just enough pool water though (depends on your weight really) to keep you cool, but not totally immersed.3. Comfortable to the max! I can fall asleep in this thing!4. Want to cross your legs? Go ahead! It won't tip over! Honest!5. It blows up fast and holds air very well. I rarely have to add air to it and when I do, it's a few pumps to firm it up.6. Has never blown away in a storm and I don't have a holder! I put it upside down on the edge of the pool with the "head rest" hanging over near the water and it's fine. I suspect if a storm ever gets that strong, it will just blow it into the pool.Cons:That drink holder is a joke, but I've never found a chair/raft/float or otherwise where they actually work. They are lopsided from the air and pressure, the weight of your body, and they fill right up with water. Eh. NO biggie, I keep my water bottle on the deck anyway. I'm not that lazy I can't get up and get a drink. - Yeah, that's the ONLY con!Did I mention that I also have the raft and I love it too. I also have a SwimWays raft and guess what, it's dead in the water (pun intended) this season too! Love Kelsyus. Just bought one with a footrest so I can give the poor soul who's SwimWay chair died mine. She doesn't like the footrest idea, but I do! Great excuse for another pool chair! Buy with confidence!

Great and comfortable
This is my first Kelsyus/SwimWays float. I was hesitant to pay so much for a pool float; we love the Intex Sit-N-Float chairs and usually get them at Target for about $8. Those typically last one year before the vinyl splits where the seat connects. I was looking for something a bit more durable so decided to try these. I was not prepared for how comfortable they are! The backrest is so nice. It's good when sitting up or slouching down a little and resting your head. The float is covered with a slick polyester material and seems durable. (I've only had mine for a week) Mesh seat. Also, the cup holder looked small, but it fits our 16 and 24-oz Tervis cups perfectly, a super important feature in our pool! It sits great in the water; my lower half is submerged almost to my belly button and my knees and thigh tops are out of the water. My handsome hubs is 6' and it fits him perfectly as well. The picture doesn't show it, but there are nylon handles on two sides for carrying. Also, each float has plastic carabiner-type clips and nylon loops on right and left sides so that you can hook floats together. So if you were thinking of the two-seater float but want more flexibility, two of these may work for you. It is stable enough to read a book in, other reviewers noted that, but it truly is. So far, I'm really happy with my purchase. If they last two years or more I will be even happier!

Love this as it allows me to sit higher in ...
Love this as it allows me to sit higher in the water with back support. It was great for the lake in Branson, but I also like it in my hot tub when I just want to read and sit in the water. It seems sturdy though would not recommend for river floats as the mesh will tear in the rocks. But for just sitting out in the water, it is very comfortable, easy to inflate, and nice to be able to store it in a small package rather than a cumbersome bundle. The one with foot support would be nice for people who are taller, but my legs would hardly reach the foot rest. It is also harder to get into it if you have the foot rest. I prefer this one.

GREAT float, but mesh ripped after 2 summers
I bought this float to replace one I used at my girlfriend's house. Hers was a couple years old and I used it 2 summers in a fresh water lake - no chlorine or chemicals. Soft fabric, super comfortable, easy to inflate and held the air perfectly...no leaks. Unfortunately this year the mesh lining easily ripped just from my finger brushing some leaves out before I used it. The mesh had weakened/ rotted from what I assume was from being left in the hot sun to dry after each use all (2) summers. Tore like paper. So I bought her another and she plans to store it in a shady place and hope that was the reason the mesh "decomposed" - it's a cozy, supportive float. Fingers crossed. (Still floats without the mesh like an inner tube, but wish there was a way to buy a replacement sling...)

Holds up so well!
I rarely review my purchases but I do have to give this amazing pool float five stars. I checked my purchase history, and confirmed I bought it and the lounger style from the same brand SEVEN years ago. Both have held up wonderfully. Easy to inflate, the covering still looks great. And I do not give these things special care. At the end of the swim season, I just toss it in the shed until next summer. More expensive than cheap pool floats, but definitely one of those instances where you get what you pay for.
