Only

Having played guitar for decades, I thought I knew a bit about it until I heard Tommy Emmanuel. He actually does what our imaginations want to think is possible, but for the rest of us, imagination is all we have...until, thankfully, Tommy puts our imaginations into music. He makes the acoustic guitar hurdle what was never done before and he does it with such taste and inflection, with immaculate timing and beauty. His slow songs are free flowing with pregnant pauses, complex but perfect chording and tiny little imbellishments, not too much, not too little. Sit alone, close your eyes and turn it up...you will find yourself flying, sharing the joy and lack of musical boundaries that epitomizes the freed little boy in Tommy Emmanuel. One cannot even take "Only" song by song and critique it...the album is, as a whole, simply off the charts unbelievable...beyond words to describe, and as a whole, a wonderful journey into uncharted music.

Not the same CD I broke, but I threw it away before writing down the name. Its case is long gone. It is OK, but my husband REALLY likes Tommy Emmanuel and I am sorry neither of us can remember the name of the one we had received 10-12 years ago as a gift.

Tommy's albums are always fabulous. I give them out to family in whatever town he is playing and have no problem convincing them to go see his show.

Love every song! Every note! If you are a fan of Tommy Emmanuel you need to add this to your music library!

I'm new to this genius and I love his music. Great for focused listening and for background to work by.

CANNOT get enough of this man!

Just discovered Tommy Emmanuel. Although I don't know much of his music I do know good music. This album is a majestic work of art.

The (excuse the pun) 'Only' problem I have is that Timberlake Road is spelt as"Timberlake Roas" which is god damn annoying! Great album non-the-less
