This works for 8 hours. Some times the stickiness is costly. It stretches and that spreads the effect of it. It doesn't have a smell. Wearing it eases inflammation and cools. If I want to put it on my back I will get help to keep it from folding up on me.

My husband uses these patches on his knees or feet or back as needed. He cuts them to fit the areas. He says they do reduce the pain.

This product is very good quality and I've used it for awhile now. Without fail, my Amazon packages are delivered to my home at the bottom of a cul-de-sac and left at either the front or back door, depending on the weather. This package was left on a Sunday, on top of the mailbox, which is at the top of the cul-de-sac and on a fairly busy street. That's a terrible place to leave a package and leaves me VERY unimpressed with USP as a delivery source. I don't know what the delivery person was thinking!

I had a total knee replacement and a couple of months later, after weaning myself off opioids (hydrocodone), I was having a difficult time falling asleep at night due to lingering nerve pain around my knee. I've found that cutting these patches into halves and placing them over the irritated nerves relieves some of the pain and helps me get to sleep. After placing them on my skin I loosely cover them with a reusable, self-adhesive wrap to prevent them from falling off in bed. I still have to supplement my pain control with NSAIDS (like Advil) but at least I'm able to avoid taking heavy doses of addictive opioids. Getting a good night's rest is very important part of the healing process so I'm grateful for these Salonpas Lidocaine gel patches in helping me along on my healing journey.

Really helps with pain.

It is really difficult if you live alone to apply these to your back. I like the product, but I can’t seem to get it placed where I’d like it to be placed because I’m doing it by myself and separating the two pieces is just messy and not as easy as I’d like it to be.

We found that the Salonpas patches do help. I have degenerative disc disease and my lower back pain is pretty bad, some days its debilitating, even though I take medication for it. I can't leave my home without a wheelchair now because I can't stand or walk for more than a couple of minutes. I do get some relief when I'm having a really bad day. Nothing will stop this pain, I have to live with it for as long as I live, but when something helps ease it a little, I'll use it! I suggest people try one small box of them first, most stores sell them in a 6 pack. If it helps, then you can't beat this price on Amazon and you can stock up.
