Comparison of this vs the goxewee 240v rotary tool
I bought this to replace my goxewee rotary tool that was stolen from my garage. Both been similar price I will compare them1st impressions didn't go down well as when I plugged it in it was intermittent when the wire wobbled it would stop. so I opened the plug to find that the power and ground wires had not been tighten down so the connection was poor since tightening these its worked fine but still this shows poor QCI choose this as it has the router bit and also a nice case. The goxewee doesn't come with case to store it. It is powerful and have used it to route some plywood and sharpen a few knifes it performed well so farI feel like the goxewee having a metal chuck makes it feel more substantial. This has a plastic thread for the accessories to.attach the main shift is metal but I think for heavy jobs the all metal chuck of the goxewee is better.I find the tracklife quicker to change over bits with the spanner rather than the chuck scree on the goxeweeI do think the goxewee is more powerful but it is 240w to this been 200w, however the speed control on the tracklife is much better there a much bigger range of speeds. The goxewee came with more bits but lacked the router, guard etc so its up to you what you prefer thereOverall so far this tool has been good however I do feel its slightly more fragile than the goxewee or at least feels less sturdy in the handIf its for the detail work your buying this it would probly be better than the goxewee because of the detail handle to help.hold it and its also lighter in the handWould I buy this over the goxewee if I could buy again im.not sure I like the router bit and case but overall I think the heavier construction of the goxwee i feel could maybe tackle big jobs better

Tacklife. My Dremel replacement!
My Dremel started vibrating and felt very rough. It was out of warranty and so looked at my options.I noticed that the Tacklife version had really good Amazon ratings and decided to take the plunge and it was cheaper! The first thing I noticed is that it was more comfortable in my hand. Personal preference? I don't know but just feels better balanced for me at any rate. What is really great is the on off switch which falls just where my little finger rests and so switching on and off is great for me. Its also logical that the speed is independent of the on off switch as I feel it should be. Just my view point though.Putting on the flexible shaft wasn't as intuitive as I thought but not difficult to do once you remove the collar at the front of the tool. What would be great is if all Dremel accessories could be used on this device as I notice the front screw on collar from my Dremel does screw onto this Tacklife with a pinch. I might make a 3D printed adaptor for this Tacklife! that fits more easily. All in all I can see why there are so many positive reviews! I'm very chaffed with this purchase and its more powerful than my Dremel 3000 which sadly just died on me this week. Maybe it didn't like the competition!

Brilliant for power carving
Bought this to use for power carving as I didn't want to spend a fortune on a dedicated power carver. Couldn't be happier (especially as I got it on a flash sale). The extension is comfortable to use for long periods. I've carved continually for almost an hour with only the vibrations of the bit during out my hand.I was worried that the unit itself might overheat or fail with long spells of use, but I've had no problems at all. I started by using it for small stretches increasing the time gradually, but I've never had it get remotely hot. I have it hung up with air flow all the way around it, so that may help.Overall a brilliant bit of kit that I highly recommend.

Heavy duty for a lighter price
This is great replacement for my retired Dremel....By retired I mean the motor stopped turning. It does mean I can finish sanding an awkward bit of a shelving I was renovating now.Due to the hefty price of a Dremel I thought I'd give this equivalent a go and I'm not disappointed. It works just like my old rotary tool did and fits all of the accessories I've tried on it so far and looks like it will do for the rest.My one grievance if I could pick a hole in it would be the power is on the opposite side to the sppeed setting. There might be a perfectly plausible reason why they designed it this way but I'm not a fan of change.I can't say much for the longevity of the device because I've had it a week or so, but it feels heavy duty so hopefully it will last a while. If it stops working after a short while I'll be sure to update this section. In summary it's a good entry level model and a good replacement for those on a budget. It get the job done.

Versatile and easy to use...move over Dremel
Not had my Tacklife Rotary Tool long, but so far it’s amazing.Very easy to change the bit being used and the ability to adjust the speed so easily makes it very versatile. You can change what you’re doing with a flick of a switch.I’m sure this tool will come in very handy for a myriad of different tasks. It is a little bulky to hold for some more intricate tasks, but the flexi shaft sorts that right out.

For professional use ONLY!
I recommend this tools for professionals only! Just a friendly advise, this tool is not for amateurs! You need to know what you’re doing to have one of these. It can’t be used to cut pieces of hard wood or slice sticks to make buttons as I thought it would. I tried this and the bits flew out of control and when I used it to sand down a piece of wood, it bent the small shaft attached to the sanding bit. The handheld attachment for smaller intricate jobs wouldn’t work properly. It is very dangerous and should only be used by professionals. I’m scared to use it.

good quality
surprised on opening case as much better quality than expected, looks very well made, plenty of attachments, 200 watt as thought extra power would be a bonus and only a little more than the tacklife 135 watt, which got excellent reviews well worth the money, recommend
