Quality cable and yes, you can split the RCA ends apart.
Nice cable. Seems well made. For those asking if it can be split further than what appears to be about one foot in the manufacturers photo, the answer is YES. The collar that keeps it from splitting further than stock can simply be slid down the cable and you can split separate the two RCA plugs as far apart as you like. In my case, I needed the 1/8" male TRS for my PC soundcard audio out and the RCA male plugs for my two studio monitors. The monitors are about 6' apart. It allowed me to get rid of an 2xRCA to 1/8" adapter.

Affordable Short 3.5mm To RCA Cable That Delivers Clean Reliable Audio
TL;DR: Simple, well priced stereo mini to RCA cable that just works. Clean connection, no audible noise issues, and the 1.5 foot length is perfect for short, tidy runs. I picked up this Monoprice cable to connect a device with a 3.5 mm headphone output to a receiver with RCA inputs. In that role it performs exactly as it should. The connectors plug in firmly with no wobble, and once seated they stay put even when the cable is moved around a bit. The gold plated tips help resist oxidation, but the bigger win is simply that the machining is clean and the plugs fit properly. Sound quality is, as expected for a short analog cable, transparent. There is no hum, hiss, or channel imbalance that I can hear. I tested it with both music and spoken audio, and everything came through clearly. For typical home use this is more than adequate, and it is a good reminder that you do not need an expensive exotic cable for a run this short. The 1.5 foot length is ideal for connecting components that sit close together, such as a small DAC or phone dock to a nearby amplifier. It keeps the excess cable clutter to a minimum and makes it easier to keep the back of a rack or desk setup tidy. The jacket has enough flexibility to route neatly without feeling flimsy or easy to kink. Build quality is better than many generic cables in this price range. The strain relief at the ends is reasonably robust, and the outer jacket feels like it can handle normal plugging, unplugging, and bending without failing early. I would not use it for rough stage work, but for home audio or desk setups it is exactly what you need. Overall, this is a straightforward, budget friendly cable that does its job without drama. If you need a short 3.5 mm to RCA connection and prefer something that simply works as intended, this is an easy recommendation. Thanks for reading!! size does matter!
looking to get the "most" out of laptop sound, considering, i went for this cable. the price is right, and from experience i knew this is what i was looking for. thick, meaty, solid, this thing seems to get more sound out of laptop headphone jack. sure, there are probably better ways and hardware, but i am saying just using the limitations and equipment that came with my dell. (i know, never again...) this thing was inexpensive, got here super fast with free shipping, and i say performs. you can hear: and that is the difference! even mp3 sound better, fuller, deeper. and it seems to be sturdy and durable. i use it to go from laptop out to radio station console rca inputs. big difference compared to the wimpy sound from your regular, spaghetti like rca cables. and again, for the price. turn off all of your audio enhancements/wow effects, just play flat or default on any sort of enhancement, and the sound is great from the board. i forgot this thing last week, and about lost my mind. i am getting another just to leave at the station. life is too short. oh, and the 10 foot length, perfect. go for that length, your life just got easier, and for next to nothing. very good quality and performance.

Solid thick cables that are of really good quality and performance. Best brand I have net thus far.
I had another cable of a good but different brand that initially I thought was good. I had a bit of humming that I realized was due to several reasons. For one was sending a signal 25 feet through a cable to the sound system. Another was that I was sending an unbalanced signal through the system and lastly I had one piece of equipment that was unbalanced. I balanced the signal to my stereo by using an American Audio mixer with balanced outputs, then I changed the 25' cable, replacing it with this. Admittedly, the greatest reduction in hum noise was the installation of the mixer with balanced outputs that made the signal balanced. However, installing this cable also reduced the hum a bit further. I think the construction of the cable has a lot to do with this. The cable is said to be made of heavy-duty coaxial cable and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The RCA ends fitted tightly and are of a high standard. As a matter of fact, I have simultaneously purchased four other cables of the same brand for my stereo system and have been so impressed that I am seriously considering changing all my other cables to this brand. And to top it off, they are priced relatively reasonably. The only thing that I could have wanted for this cable was for it to have a 90 degree angle on the 3. 5mm stereo end. This would have made it perfect. The only problem I now have is getting the money to do it all over again and the surplus connectors I am quickly building up.

THICCCC Amazing audio quality.
Thicccccker than a snickers, thicker than a bowl of oat meal! I'm so amazed with the quality and price my old cable wasn't necessarily cheap looking or feeling but this thing puts it to shame in both sound quality and physical quality, this thing has some heft to it, I decided to upgrade my cable since I would get noise even when nothing was playing, all noise is now gone, cable honestly looks and feels super premium it cost less than 10$ but feels like a $30 cable i bought a splitter from monoprice and i loved it, amazing quality i am now a monoprice customer!!!! Superb cables, maybe one day I will buy some speakers from them too.

Very good quality. Very heavy duty and professional quality cables. I had to reduce the gain 15% on my power amp when installing these Monoprice leads due to my old leads being of poor quality and these leads transmitting the signal at no loss. No interference with these leads either. Superb insulation. Will definitely recommend to anyone serious about home or pro audio. These are serious audio signal transfer cables and very heavy duty!
