Kraven the next book (pun intended:})
I liked this book, and I loved the story and world that Laurann Dohner created as well as being excited yo see who's stroy is next and what will happen next. I have mixed feelings or I did when I read this book(at first) about Kraven and Bat. Kraven was pushy(at times) and Bat was as well, and then I would love them as their defense started to be torn down, and then they would irritated me. But they do grow and grow up in a sense, and I ended up loving them.I will say I would have really loved a epilogue in this book. Yes we get a hea (and I completely believe it) but I really wish we had more. I do think the reason we didn't was because this isn't the last we will hear from them like book one and there is so much still to tell not only from Bat and Kraven but from his entire world Mrs. Dohner created.Book two starts where book one does from Kraven and Bat's point of view, some were bothered by this but I liked it yes a lot is congruent with book one but its a different story and it didn't feel repetitive or retelling of the same story, and most just like book one isn't even with the two couple together so different things are happening. After the plane crash Kraven takes Bat to get her to safety to his clan. Bat isn't like any woman and she doesn't respond to him like other woman. As infuriating as they both make each other they are more attracted to each other than anyone ever before. What is even more shocking is Kraven finding out Bat is his mate, and she thinks he is crazy. Bat grew up knowing nothing of the world her mother came from so finding out her mean dying grandfather is actually nowhere near dying and an evil Vamplycan set on selling her so he can rule, she is reeling. To keep her and his brother, and mate safe Kraven takes bat back to California to find out the truth from the one man who has known her almost her entire life. The doctor who treated her and Dusti, what they find out sheds so much light on not only their lives but her mothers and fathers. But Bat and Dusti's grandfather isn't ready to give up and is still out loose ready to get what he wants. Now the clans have a lot to decide and prepare for, because it is obvious there is much more to come.I can't wait for the next two, I am so excited for these stories, we are given enough to make me very impatient. Even when Bat and Kraven frustrated me I still loved this story and was hooked waiting to see what would happen next. This world that she created is so amazing and I got drawn in so easily. And even though I had moments of frustration in this book with the main characters I loved this book and the characters. I also (on a side note) love how Bat handled Kraven and Drantos's mother she irritated me in book one how she treated Dusti and how she came off, and Bat is having none of that. I also loved Bat and Dusti's relationship their love for each other is so sweet. I really hope the wait for book three isn't long, I am so excited to see how every thing progresses and in the end turns out.

I loved this story because it tells the other side of ...
Second installment of this series and if you haven't read the first one (Drantos), I highly suggest that you do so because this story coincides with it for at least the first 3/4's of it and will explain a lot of what happens to Dusti at the end.I loved this story because it tells the other side of what happened to Bat at the same time her sister, Dusti was with Drantos. What I didn't like:1) I realize Bat is suppose to be this hotshot attorney and is the argumentative sort, but her constant insults were starting to even grate on my nerves after a while until I was even tempted to yell and cuss at her to shut up. Kraven is a saint for putting up with her because if I had mate like that, I'd be muzzling her2) Bat's belief that her apartment was impregnable even after she knew what Kraven was and what coming after her just made me shake because I could already see what was coming which was predictable and it did. I think I would have preferred an accident or a straight out confrontation in a dark alley instead. What I liked:1) I enjoyed the sparks that fly between these two, because lets face it, Kraven is the only person who could get through Bat's stubbornness and make her listen..most of the time. Bat's first meeting with her mother in law was priceless and exactly what I thought would happen and funny as hell2) I loved being able to see what happened to Bat at the same time events were occurring to her sister, Dusti.Would I read this one again? Maybe. If I had the choice between the two brothers of which story I'd read again, it would definitely be Drantos.

Great second entry to a cool new paranormal series! So glsd it came out so soon!
This is the second installment of Laurann's newest series, VLG, which stands for Vampire, Lycan, Gargoyle. I totally enjoyed Drantos, the first of the series and Kraven, which starts at the same time as Drantos, adds the unknown scenes one might infer while reading Drantos and takes it further. I loved it. Possibly more than the first book (but they were really both good).Kraven and Drantos are trying to intercept the granddaughters of the rival leader of one of the 3 other VampLycan clans in Alaska. The plane they are all on crashes and Kraven and Drantos save the survivors but leave with the 2 women in order to protect the them from their grandfather who has lured them to Alaska under false pretenses (he's rich and dying, and wants to see his family before his passing). In reality, he's trying to kidnap his oldest granddaughter Batina, in order to give him to the leader of the GarLycan clan, thereby gaining his allegiance in taking control of all 4 of the VampLycan clans. As with the first installment, Drantos, one of the brothers (Kraven) and one of the sisters (Batina) are mates. In Kraven, he and Batina are separated from Drantos and Dusti, and have their own series of trials and tribulations as they forge the path of mating. This book had a lot more going on and introduced a lot of really likable future heros, so I am guessing there are a few more books coming. I can tell you I am looking forward to them - the character development of the H/h were really good, and the development of the secondary characters we equally good. Laurann is truly a gifted writer and I am totally looking forward to the next book!!!

Absolutely hideous
Badly written and exceptionally boring. The world she has created is rushed and incomplete. No rappor is built with the main characters and I had no emotional link to them. The action was so boring, the story even more so. I cared more about the Garlycan leader and meeting him which he has three lines of dialogue than the main characters. The romantic scenes are beyond boring with sex that dry there is no point in including it. Her species series is so much better read that and ignore this. I read the second book as well as I read them both st the same time and I loathed the characters and felt like I had wasted my time and funds. Don't bother with this series at all. For a good read try the neighbours from hell series by R.L Mathewson

What is happening?
This cannot be Laurann dohner.. Both of these books lacked passion and excitement bat is simply irritating with smart arsed responses and both of the brothers lack any sort of personality both books are dull and boring I couldn't even finish the second one. But any book laurann releases I will buy due the fact, zorn warriors, cyborg serious and of corse new species are so unbelievably fabulous I hold out hope she will write another captivating exciting and tantalising book again!

Still No..........
Didn't care for Drantos, thought I'd give Book 2 a chance but it's still a No! It really doesn't read like Laurann Dohner.Shall not bother with book 3, should there be one.

Kraven
Kraven and Bat made a great couple. I loved how they were always arguing and how it carried on through the relationship even after they mated. I'm so interested in finding out about the Lord GarLycan and I'm pleased Lorn's book is next. I have a feeling he'll be a fab character.

Good strong read.
This is a good book 2 to the series, allowing the story to develop, move forward and prepare for the next one. It's full of dialogue, which means you may not read it all in one session, nonetheless, it is a dynamic story which flows well and feeds the imagination. This writer so far has yet to let me down.
