Insect LoreWorld of Eric Carle™ Bug Jar

Just what my child was looking for. Great!

Got this for my 4 year old daughter who loves dirt and bugs. It is an awesome bug jar! You can see clearly inside, has a mesh top for air and is easy to open and close. It is also very sturdy.

This bug keeper is the cutest thing ever. The little plastic lady bug is adorable and the bug keeper is just the right size for a toddler, maybe up to age 5.

Smaller than I thought, well built but not worth the money. There is a screen over the top and the plastic is hard. The bug part is probably about 4.5 inches with the handles it is almost 7" tall. Cute but too small.

I got this bug jar for my pre-k classroom, and it's a great durability. The toy ladybug that came with it is really cute. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that the thickness and placement of the green rim around the lid makes the lighting of the container a bit dark, and the bugs really like to hide under that green rim, so we end up having to lift up the container and look from the sides or the bottom to see our bugs most of the time. Otherwise, I felt like it's a good value for the money!

This was a gift for my granddaughter on her 3rd birthday. As a kid, I loved catching and later releasing bugs from my yard. I hope to do the same with her, all while learning about insects. It is small but that's alright with me. The fact that it came with a small plastic grouchy ladybug was a plus, since the storybook, "The Grouchy Ladybug" is one of her favorite stories.
