VeggieTales - Lyle the Kindly Viking

I grew up watching veggie tales and this was a personal favorite whe. i was young. I bought this for my kids and they love watching it as well. Brings back good memories with my siblings singing and laughing.

Cute movie with songs that little kids enjoy. My 3-year old loves this movie.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my nephew. My siblings and I grew up watching Veggie Tales and my sister said that this was one of her favorites so I bought it for her and my nephew. She was very happy to receive it. It works great and is as awesome as we remember. I'm very happy with it.

My nephews love this DVD! Even the 3-yr-old goes around singing songs from this.... "when we share, we get our share of friends!" We have several of the Veggie Tales DVD's, and I think that Junior Asparagus as Lyle is one of the most appealing characters yet. The 7-yr-old loves the bonus features, which include lessons on how to draw various characters. It's fascinating to see the detail that goes into them!We are a family of Gilbert & Sullivan fans, so the G&S references really hooked us in, including grandparents. This is truly entertaining for the whole family!

Kids love it

Maybe it was all those Rodgers and Hammerstein plays I was dragged to as a youngster. Some of the dialogue is genius parody, and it is pretty clear in the object lesson, too.We could use more children's programming that is full of stuff for the adults and laughs for the kids. Old looney tunes was pretty good with that, modern looney tunes - does it still air? - not so much. Even so, the adult content of that programming often had innuendo that was a little too "adult" to be wholesome. Here the attraction lies in the fact that the comments aimed at me rely on my own cultural exposure to other art, rather than body function humor.

This was my all time favorite Veggie Tales growing up. I am so excited to get to share this with my little boy. I received the DVD in a timely matter and it was in great condition. I'm looking forward to making many fun memories with my little boy while watching this show!!
