Its pure so yeah it taste bad. Acids duh
Whew wee that taste is awful. I love how people expect unflavored powders to not taste like anything. Unflavored just means no extra additives. Doh. One bad review sounded like one of those cry baby, blob shaped persons who complain and fight against anything healthy thing they try. The Disney adult. Yes this stuff taste awful but its pure EAA it is 9 amino ACIDS , key word, its going to have a naturally bitter taste like many many unflavored supps do. Try ALA in powder form and this stuff is easy comparing to the two. Just mix it in OJ and your good to go. Oj is the goat at masking flavors. Baking soda may also neutralize the acid taste, idk it works with other ones like ALA and L-Carnitine. It should do something here. Listen you are trading the taste for the value here by not buying any extra additives or paying for processing that makes it taste like coolaid. Fix the taste on your own IT IS NOT THE SELLERS FAULT you are uneducated. I have a who cabinet full of bulksupplements products and I havent been disappointed yet. Not by the quality or the value. 50 10gram servings of flavored EAA is twice this amount and you arent paying for anything but additives that isnt good for you, dyes and sugars, and artificial flavors. This is best taken after working out IMHO. Theres a that window that we want protein but its not actually protein we need then its amino acids we have protein in our bodies waiting to be used so long as we eat enough. Drinking aminos directly after or during the 2nd half doubles the amount of protein synthesis that happens. EAAs in this form hit the bloodstream within minutes of consumption they dont need to digest like a shake would to get aminos the longer way. Then drink your shake 30mins to 2hours after the workout. This can be used as an appetite suppression drink as well. I mean, Eaas function in everything and when you take it is as important as taken it. I prefer after workouts for hypertrophy, In between meals, in the morning for energy, Split up over the day. All with various goals in mind. Do your research.

Potent and effective.
Taste is the taste but less bad once you mix it. Ive gotten noticeably jacked keeping a steadier stream of these in my shakes throughout the day. Its potent. 10g is fine for me.

Horrible product
Horrible , I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. By far the worst EAAs I’ve ever had. Taste extremely bad and bitter, something you can’t take during a training session, also no measuring scoop, very poor dissolve product , clumps . Over all a bad experience. I can’t even use it , wasted my money

Cheap, quality, taste - pick two
Yes, it tastes pretty terrible. But it's an excellent quality supplement for a low price, being bitter as hell is a tradeoff you have to make for the value. I mix it with lemonade or strong coffee and it's not too bad. Easy to mix and dissolves completely and easily. Works exactly the way it's supposed to.

High quality, no additives
I am in my 70's, and my son suggested a couple of years ago that I take essential amino acids to improve my protein intake. I have been taking another brand, but now they are adding a bunch of other things. I only want the amino acids! So I tried this from Bulk Supplements, since I had purchased other powdered supplements from them before, and they sell high quality products. Amino acids aren't the best tasting things, but the essential amino acids aren't really nasty like some of the non-essential amino acids. I decided to mix one compressed tablespoon of the Bulk Supplements EAAs in 14 oz. of water with 5 ice cubes, and for flavoring I used freeze dried packets of lemon, lime, or grapefruit, with 2 tiny scoops of stevia; then shake that up and drink it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, at least 20-30 minutes before eating anything else containing protein. I don't actually feel hungry until about 11:30 am or later. When I first tried these EAAs by Bulk Supplements, I took out the scientific scale our grandson used for his science project, and weighed the powder. It actually came to 10 grams for a tablespoon and 1 teaspoon (1-1/3 tbsp), exactly as stated on the bag. I'm too lazy to use two measuring spoons, so I use one tablespoon and get slightly less. Taking these Bulk Supplements EAAs gives me more energy and strength for daily tasks and for my exercise routines. I love these, and I immediately like these better than what I was taking before. I highly recommend these Bulk Supplements EAAs. UPDATE: Now I am using 1 TB Bulk Supplements EAAs, 2 scoops (1/32 of tsp.) Stevia, and 2 TB Silicia Organic Lime juice, shaken with 14 oz of water and 5 ice cubes. I do this when I wake up, and then again before going to bed. I am figuring 33 gr of protein per tablespoon, based on comparing it with vegetarian protein. Does anybody have a better estimate of the protein equivalent??

Great EAA’s & value
Great EAA’s & value. Yeah it doesn’t taste or smell great but they’re EAA’s what do people expect? Lol of course EAA’s don’t taste good. The only way you’re gonna get EAA’s that don’t have that are ones with extra junk added like artificial sweeteners. I just take it with my protein shake at the same time which covers the bad taste a little. But note that yeah, on its own, super gross haha. Still very worth it to me. Edit: I had one batch that smelled more than usual so I left the bag open for about a day & the stronger scent went away. That can happen to EAA’s if exposed to heat for too long. Don’t expect it to get rid of a regular level of smell that comes from EAA’s though, EAA’s that don’t have artificial sweeteners & stuff are gonna naturally smell anyway. I got EAA’s from Now Foods previously & they have the a similar taste & smell as Bulk Supplements. I’ve stuck with Bulk Supplements for ~2 years now on my EAA’s due to price & the COA I requested on one batch showed a good leucine profile with 3g leucine per serving.

Bad taste vs Nutricost unflavored
I mix EAA powder with Premier Protein + fiber vanilla flavor. I tried this brand as it was well regarded and a bulk value vs the 30 serving unflavored Nutricost eaa powder. I was expecting a similar taste to the Nutricost unflavored EAA powder which my vanilla protein powder masks perfectly, not this stuff. The nasty flavor pierces right through the premier vanilla. I do not believe it is the EAA powder itself that is causing the bad taste but whatever anti-clumping additives are being used in this one vs what Nutricost is using in their unflavored EAA powder.

(Please Read for Factual Information)
Way too many people on here are leaving reviews don't know anything about supplement manufacturing and labelling guidelines and it shows. Below, I'm going to provide a detailed review, if you want the short version, skip to the very bottom, look for "TLDR." Firstly, I would like to comment on a review stating that they changed their formula, since this is my field of occupation, I am very much qualified to speak on this matter. For one, they didn't change their formula, they updated the supplement facts as there were several updated FDA guidelines that all supplement manufacturers need to follow, especially if you're following GMP guidelines. And second, including all of these ingredients as a proprietary blend, as the name implies, protects their dosages, as it is very easy for someone off the street to provide a manufacturer a quantitative formulation, and knock it off, but also the dosages can no longer be freely stated on the label. Enough said. Per their website, they do follow ingredient testing, as GMP advises, so regarding the formulation and the formula itself, nothing is changed, chill out keyboard warriors. Let's talk about the product itself! The powder is very, for the lack of a better term, powdery, if you're not careful, it will get everywhere! The form is as it should be, like flour, just ignore the smell, that's what real EAA smells like. Taste: it's unflavored obviously, and awful as it should be. While you could spend a little more to get a flavored version from other sellers, I bought this one for it's amazing value, and in doing this, you have to accept the caveat of it being completely disgusting. So you definitely want to mix it with something, you can't take it straight from the spoon like creatine. Use: everyone has their own routine use for this supplement, personally I practice intermittent fasting, specifically a meal every 48 hours full of protein, and to improve protein synthesis I take this at morning and at night. Unfortunately, since I do fast, I don't have the luxury of mixing this with juice, and have to mix it with decaf coffee, first world problems right? Results: you can definitely tell this is 100% EAA, usually in the morning ghrelin is telling me that I'm hungry, and immediately after taking my EAA it will curb the hunger completely. For those trying to put on muscle, this is definitely a great addition to your routine. This has improved my performance and the gains in the mirror and scale are apparent! TLDR: The product formulation has been updated per new labeling guidelines to protect their proprietary blend, dosages were not changed. I highly recommend this product, especially if you practice fasting. If you're new to EAA, mix it with some juice or something to mask the natural bad taste. With a solid routine and thoughtful nutrition, you can expect this to be a great arsenal in your quest to more lean muscle mass.

Excelente producto
