FODSPORTS New Version FX8 Motorcycle Bluetooth Intercom (QM190409A1)

We were looking for affordable intercoms that would link 3 riders with each having an open mic. I am pleased that this product does exactly that. We use them on road and off road and have besides a few operator errors which we easily figured out we have not had any issues. Very pleased with the product.

First call I made was to my father after I set this up in a new helmet I couldn't purchase with bluetooth. He couldn't believe I was going down the highway on my bike at 60mph. He said it sounded just like I was sitting on his couch talking to him. He's kind of old though, but not that old. Lol

It's amazing how well this unit works for less than a third of the price of the name-brand choices. I have had this installed for over two months and have used for over 25 hours. I have yet to charge the battery on it. Really impressed. My biggest concern prior to purchase was whether the speakers would be loud enough. Being an 80's hair metal guy who grew up around my dad's auto shop, I have a certain level of hearing loss. Most earbuds/headphones that I use have to be played at close to max volume. Add in motorcycle and road noise with a Scorpion helmet that isn't the quietest and I'm shocked at how load these speakers are. I have yet to play them at max volume. Haven't used the "walkie-talkie" feature yet with other users, but so far it works great for bluetooth music and calls. I can't imagine what the $300 versions do that this one does not.

I have owned this for 4 months. The only downside is the speakers are all treble.But It's loud enough.The phone feature works fantasticI was on a call at 40mph and the caller didn't know I was on the bike.

For the price, much better than expected

I was a little apprehensive because it's not one of the bigger name brand ones, but I'm very impressed with the quality and even happier that it saved me from spending hundreds of dollars! The battery stays charged for quite a while. I haven't had it go dead on me yet, which is great. I don't know exactly how long it lasts, but I've been on rides that lasted for about 5-6 hours, consistently listening to music and I didn't even get a low battery warning. I have been on numerous calls, and the person on the other end never knows I'm riding unless I tell them! It amazes me every time someone says they can't tell the difference, because I just assume that since I can't hear them very well, then they can't hear me. I do wish the speakers were a little louder because I can't hear very well when I'm riding on the highway. My helmet does get some wind noise, but riding at 90+ mph, that's to be expected. I'm going to try to make some adjustments with the placement of the speakers inside my helmet, to see if that makes a difference. I haven't had a chance to link it to other rider's devices, so I'm not sure how well that feature works. I did have a hard time trying to navigate the buttons correctly. It was frustrating because I could never get it to do what I intended. I solved the problem by purchasing a phone mount and some touchscreen riding gloves, and that has been working out perfectly.

The install was pretty simple in my ruroc helmet but the sound quality of the speakers are subpar. Call quality is fine but music is very distorted and like an old low bit rate mp3 even with high end source. Not sure where all these 5 stars are coming from other than price

Just got my m1, and wanted to get something that a few friends could get and we all could communicate. Does that very well. Have yet to run out of battery in the few times I've rode with it. Sound quality isn't super but it'll get the job done.
