Easy To Install, Adhesive Is Aggresive
I'll begin with what I didn't like; Removing the old no slip appliques . What a nightmare workout that was. They had been in this house since it was built in 1973. I tried everything. You name it, Citrus Magic, Goo Gone, Goof Off, lighter fluid..(The bottle claims it's excellent for removing tough adhesives), mineral oil, mineral spirits and finally after resorting to a you tube video, the guy said he had tried everything too and finally Fast Orange...(mechanics hand cleaner) applied as a thick paste and walked away for several hours and finally, the dang fossilized old no slip treads were removed but, they leave a "ghost" image and then cleanser and LOTS of elbow grease and they were gone. Just keep in mind to have plenty of ventilation and fresh air and you don't want to use any major abrasives or metal scrapers to peel the old ones up which makes an already hard job even harder. Then, I rinsed the fiber glass tub with hot tap water, dried it thoroughly and finally mopped it down with white vinegar and followed up with rubbing alcohol. Now for the easy part; Grabbed a spirit level, tape measure and using a pencil and the drain for a center, laid out straight lines on the tub floor to keep the job in line and looking good. After I determined the pattern I wanted to apply then it was just peel and stick....the application part took all of 15 minutes and it came out looking good, the treads are stuck down great and much better looking than the 1970's "Partridge family" look.Showered in there this A.M. and as advertised, I didn't slip.Bottom line; These treads are great and easy to apply but if you need to remove ancient no slip treads first, all I can say is better you than me LOL !!!!

So far so good
I put my treads down almost two weeks ago and so far it's fantastic and exactly what I've been wanting for so long. Our tub is old and VERY SLIPPERY so a bath mat is a must. However, after almost 12 years of not finding something suitable I was ready to throw my whole tub out of the window. I've tried bath mats of all types, shapes, sizes, materials. They all create a problem for me. NONE drain properly water collects in or around them and it stinks. Or looks absolutely disgusting under the clear ones. It may seem silly to some but I clean a lot and it bugged me to no end. Then I remembered as a child our tub had these little feet shaped stickers to stop us from slipping. So here I am.....and I LOVE them. I ordered two packs. Better to have left over then to not have enough. I laid them all down. I washed my tub and even wiped it down with alcohol and let it dry before placing them. Super easy to put down. I waited roughly 20 hours before letting anyone shower (there are five of us..2 adults and 3 kids). Nobody has slipped at all. Not even when i washed my hair. My fear was all that shampoo and conditioner would negate the treads...NOPE. I've since cleaned my tub and so far nothing is lifting up. You can barely see them. Even if I have to replace them every year or 2 I'm still happy. I'll eventually get a few more packs to keep on hand just in case. WORTH IT.

Don’t use bath oil if you have these safety strips.
I initially installed these strips following the directions. The strips adhered to the bottom of my bathtub and I had no problem until....... I took a bath and put baby oil in the water (for my dry skin; I live in the desert.). Shortly after that bath I noticed the strips becoming loose. The baby oil is the only factor I see as the reason for this. I had previously used bubble bath and Epsom salts with no problem. So I ordered the strips again and now know NOT to put oils in the bath water. I wish that the directions would have indicated this. The strips work better for me than a bath mat. I will apply the new strips and avoid any kind of oil hoping that they adhere this time. If not, I will update my review.

Work great and you can barely see them at all.
We bought two packages for one tub in order to get maximum coverage so our dogs would not slip in the gaps between the strips. That was a good idea for us ourselves. never felt so secure before in the tub/shower. We laid them out in with the long axis parallel to the long axis of the tub and put in four columns of six strips (rows) each starting at the back end of the tub. They are spaced an inch apart and each column is about an inch apart from the start of the next column. This way your foot is always touching at least two strips. Even the dogs would always be on at least one strip. We have had them in place for about two months or so now and they are still working great.Aesthetically, they are almost invisible on the tub. I had to shine a bright flashlight on the tub surface when my wife laid them down so we could see them well enough to line them up. If i didn't know we had put them in I would not have known they were there without stepping on them! I highly recommend them, but use two packs per tub to ensure your foot is always planted on one of them. Be sure to clean the tub surface well and use some alcohol to get off any remaining residue.

The product failed to stay on a small amount of time.
Aside from the surface prep/cleaning before the install, the process is quick and easy. Heck, I was really happy they were translucent. I was also very happy to know I had enough surface area under them to go on a completely flat and smooth surface. The grip quality is amazing at the beginning. But 3 days into having them, I lost 1 of them. I thought, well it's not bad. I still have the rest of them and foot grip was still top notch. Then a couple days later a second one started to come off, then a third during the following days. Currently, I only have 4 of the 10 and I've only had them 60 days. The remaining 4 are in areas I hardly step on. But I do rely on them. I won't be buying more of these and I'll look a reviews carefully before selecting another.
