This book does a very good job in what it covers, but that is for Luftwaffe flight branch uniforms & equipment only.There is no coverage of other Luftwaffe arms of service, such as flak, signals, medical, Herman Goring formations, etc.One will need to find information on those in other reference sources, such as the three volume work by Angolia & Schllcht.Still, a well done & valuable reference.

The book is very good in showing a lot of rare and hard to find flight equipment in full colour, not as good in the uniform and heagear area, and only shows for e.g., one later war blue-grey visor cap for Officers, and one white top example, same for Other Ranks, but the book in company with some of the other recent works showing Luftwaffe equipment and uniform items is nice to have on the shelf. The book does have some very good period portraits as well, recommended....Bob Lyons

Great book with many lovely color photos of the items taken in a clear format, almost as good as having your own big collection but at a fraction of the cost.

Bought this for a christmas gift. He loves it! Great pictures! Everything you expect to see and more. Great Book!

Excellent reference book and very well illustrated. Good value for the price. A must have for WW 2 collectors' libraries.

Excellent book. Certainly as good as the Deutsche Soldaten and an excellent companion. I echo the other good reviews on this book and am glad I purchased it for my library and reference. I am very pleased.

I just recieved this book the other day and cannot put it down! It covers all the standard uniforms and flight gear that was used during the war years of 1939 - 1945. The photography is excellent and reveals good detail on the items presented. A real good companion resource to the two books by Mick Prodger. I recommend this book for all you Luftwaffe nuts out there!!

A good review of flying kit and accessory items used by and produced for the Luftwaffe.For me this would be a book which best works in tandem with some more specialised works.In terms of quality of build and production a fine well put otgether book and one which is worth the cover price, photos are clear well detailed and supporting text and captions are very good.I do not collect Luftwaffe items but have to ay found it an interesting book and one I can use.

This is a wonderful piece of work on the Luftwaffe and rightly earns 5 stars. It is highly detailed, with many fine period and current detailed uniform pictures, which will prove invaluable to collectors and modellers alike. An essential purchase (and a great price here on Amazon compared to bookstores I have seen) for all who are interested in the Luftwaffe in WW2.
