We just got the set which arrived before the expected delivery date and my wife can’t wait to start painting with them.

Better than expected. Even better than the real squirrel-fur brush I bought from Da Vinci last year. Bristles form a sharp tip and no strays. Smooth feel across paper even with wet on dry

Soft with just enough spring. I already had a Casaneo quill and decided to splurge on these. Not as big as I thought, but they are nice! Attatched is a comparison to my fingers. Really great tips when wet. one photo is a comparison between two of the same size, one is a princeton elite brush.

I just bought these brushes and I can tell already that they are going to be my favorite brushes. They hold water and pigment perfectly and I can paint fine details with their crisp tips. They are one of my best Amazon buys!

Magnífico este set de quills. Pinceles finos y bien elaborados que absorben gran cantidad de agua y pigmento y permiten pinceladas más consistentes. Aunque están hechos con fibras sintéticas, su comportamiento en la práctica emula maravillosamente el pelo de ardilla más fino. Este set puede suplir todas las necesidades de un artista en cuanto a pinceles. Muy complacido con la compra.

I don't know if they are long lasting, because I've only used them for a short time. So far I love them and rate them highly as quality brushes. They are great for detail and fine lines. I had greater success with my watercolor details using them.

So, the tiny round brushes come to a point, no problem. But from a #4 up, it starts to get difficult. At #6, I never get a sharp point. Yeah they’re thirsty, but I’m a beginner & I need that fine point. Maybe more experienced artists know how to use brushes like these more than I do. The problem I had with these is they’re all so tiny. The #4 is the same size as my #2’s from other brands, and they’re all so close to the same size. Barely distinguishable. And it doesn’t feel like they hold as much water & pigment as I expect, but it could just be that they’re small brushes. I don’t know, I give up on daVinci. I like their Petit Gris but that’s it.

I'm very happy with these brushes. They also have a bit of "snap" to them so when I lift off the paper I get a nice point at the end of my stroke.

Estoy comenzando a pintar acuarelas y estos pinceles me resultaron maravillosos, son muy dúctiles, se pueden hacer tanto líneas finas como trazos gruesos, de hecho dibujar con ellos es divertido; cargan bastante agua y color, al mismo tiempo que recuperan bien el agua, por lo mismo las transparencias me resultaron mucho más fácil de hacer con estos pinceles. Feliz con la compra, son algo caros pero valen la pena, solo espero que me duren.

These brushes are the best I have ever used. They hold a generous load of pigment and water. They have a soft spring, that gives me fantastic control. The 08 pointed filbert has become my first choice. It gives me everything from soft washes, to a beautiful fine line from its pointed tip. This set is fantastic, and I have already added more. Very fairly priced. Gorgeous brushes.

Nice package, good quality

I had a #2 a few years ago when I started painting with watercolour. I have brushes from a few brands and generally I just use round brushes. The quill is always interesting and I really like how these ones in particular come to this very fine point. It makes painting with a larger brush easier as it's very versatile when you go from covering a large area and then just as quickly paint in fine details with the same brush.I like how soft they are. They hold quite a bit of paint and water and it seems to distribute evenly. I opted for the set so I could have a larger brush and the option to drop down. Or use the smallest for extra fine details when I don't need a loaded brush.
