I recently built a crib and I needed a strong, food safe finish. I purchased this due to good reviews as a hard drying oil finish. I liked it so much that I finished a window cornice box and matching dresser project too! First off, it smells great (kind of like a green tea smell) while it’s wet. I applied the finish with a spreader for the flat surfaces and a paintbrush for the more intricate areas, then wiped the excess off with a shop towel. I sanded the pieces to 180 grit (there were no instructions on the label for what grit to sand to but I did some testing and this seemed to give a good feel). The finish ultimately took about two weeks to cure. I applied it in my garage and temps were in the 80s. The oil soaks into end grain very fast (as you would expect) and after about an hour or so feels dry to the touch. The side grain is what took the longest to fully cure and no longer feel that oily residue. I definitely recommend this if you need a hard, food safe finish and will definitely buy it in the future!
