The price belies the quality. This phone is not just excellent for the money. It’s just excellent.
I only buy a phone when I have to. My old Samsung Xcover 3 was suffering with a battery degradation and struggling for memory, and the ability to handle some newer apps. So time for a change.I have an iPhone 7 for work but prefer Android for personal use due to an outdoor lifestyle and the need for it to work in sub-zero temperatures and wet conditions.Researched a number of different “rugged” smartphones and decided to take a punt on this BV5900. I was attracted by the price (despite believing you get what you pay for) and generally positive customer reviews. My immediate impression upon receiving it was that it was very well put together from high quality materials. Even the box it came in, not that that’s particularly relevant.I had a few issues transferring all my stuff over and getting apps set up but that was more to do with my old phone being so old with an out of date operating system, and the microSD card also being too old and slow. A bit of tinkering about and a new posh microSD and everything sorted.Had it for nearly a week and I have to say it’s probably the best smartphone I’ve had. At first I thought it was a bit big but figured if you have a large capacity battery the phones got to be big enough to encompass it. Feels normal already and I don’t need to carry a power bank around or put it in a chunky armoured case.Audio is excellent, battery life is exceptional and screen is really crisp and clear. The camera is perfectly good for a phone and compared to all the phones I’ve ever had, only beaten by my work iPhone 7.Despite a fair number of phone calls and quite a lot of texting the battery was still above 50% after two days. All bodes well. Very pleased.

Built like a Rock, fantastic mobile phone
I have to say this phone surely impressed me, having supplied iphones for my family but my youngest every few months break the screens or damage headphones and charger socket. The sales description is bang on military grade. its solid, has gorilla grade screen to my disgust and to my relief my son upon opening it throws it to the tiled floor to see if it breaks !!!, Thank goodness it works just fine, no cracked screen, the case is strong and protective, the phone works in water , subject all plugs installed properly, and phone processor is lightning fast. battery lasts about 1-2 days with him on social media and snap-chat.it has facial recognition finger print or pin unlock and works on android platform, I cant fault it.if your considering replacing a mobile try this as it costs £160 but the features are so impressive. loads more features great camera front and back. plus unlimited apps. it can take 2 sims plus micro sd cards up to 128gb

It's £160 for Christ sakes!
So, for what it's worth, here is my honest opinion of my purchase.I, like many, got an upgrade as soon as my contract finished. I, like many, instantly sold it on eBay as needed the cash. Ring any bells? Left with a 2 year contract and a monthly charge of £68 and no phone , depression set in. why didn't I go sim only and not be tempted by upgrade and sell and spend 2 years hating yourself!I digress. I paid £160 for this phone and I can't tell you how happy I am with it. If you want the illusion that you need massive ram or 4k screen then carry on making Apple and Samsung rich. That's your choice. It's a sturdy phone with great battery life. Camera is adequate for anyone but David bailey. Apps run fine. Sound quality is good. What else do you need for Christ sake.

My son is far happier with this phone than the previous well known brand, that cost me four times the price!! I would happily buy this brand again, so far we are extremely impressed!! A lot of phone for the price
Until recently I have had Samsung phones but when it came time to get a new phone I wanted to look at alternative makes that better suit my lifestyle. As someone in my 50's with a condition that makes me a fall hazard I wanted a rugged phone that was reliable. This phone hase it all. A reasonable camera, amazingly good battery life (think days and my phone is used to listen to podcasts & audiobooks ALL day), a very solid build & very reliable (so far). The large screen is a plus and so far everyone I have shown it to have expressed surprise at the high quality. A great phone and an amazing price, Highly recommend

Not fit for purpose, but otherwise OK
For a budget phone, I suppose this is not actually that bad. Having said that, it lacks key functions and utilities. For example, I was unable to install *any* apps to the phone itself due to lack of space available, yet when looking at the available space on device, there was clearly enough. If you insert an SD Card, you can install apps to that, but I needed this rugged phone purely for work purposes, and the app I need to use requires device admin privileges, which can only be granted if the app is installed to the device itself.Other than the above issues, the battery life was good (for the period of time I tried to use it), the finger/thumbprint sensor is good and does work effectively, the camera worked well, and the overall design is good.Having previously bought Blackview products, I was expecting a lot more, but it turns out if you want a lot more it's worth spending a little extra cash to get a decent phone.

value for money phone that's all
Good value for money Phone, very good customer service, I was offered a replacement phone as I had difficulties with the first phone and assured those issues had been resolved. However nothing has changed and am having the same problems. I would not buy this phone again and have changed my rating accordingly. The rating is for delivery and cutomer service
