Great filter
This filter worked great and cleaned the pond in only a couple of days. It was easy to clean out after we closed down the pond and is now in storage awaiting spring. I would advise anyone with a pond full of fish to consider this filter as one that will keep the water crystal clear and clean. The filter arrived in a few days from ordering so didn’t have to wait very long to get it working.

Great filter
Installed this filter after a interval without due to a leak on a previous filter. Pond was full of algae. Out of algae treatment so just let the filter and the UV do their thing. A few days later. Crystal clear pond. Very pleased. Easy to install.

Cleared up my duck pond overnight
I have ducks and ducks are very messy in and out of the water. My duck pond filter I had just couldn't handle it but this one cleared up the pond over night. It's also very easy to clean

CLEAR! CLEAR! CLEAR!
The media could not be loaded. So far I am enjoying how crystal clear my koi pond is. I have a 2600 gal koi pond. Has a large waterfall skimmer and filter. Have battled the clearness for years. I think I may have finally perfected my pond with this hopefully. In 24 hours pond was and has stayed crystal clearfor over a week. It must be working because the water that usually goes through the skimmer goes through a course filter that I have had to hose clean daily. Now the water going through it is so clean I am not having to do that chore. I sincerely hope it stays this way.

Great filter for turtles!
This filter has been amazing for my 120 gallon turtle pond. The backwash feature is great and my water is finally clear. You might think this is overkill for a small turtle pond, but only if you've never seen the amount of poop a turtle can produce. Phoenix sun and heat have always made my pond green in the summer, but this filter has kept the water clear. I highly recommend if you have turtles!

You'll need more biological filtration!!
I have two of these combos, one being the G2 3500 with SolidFlo G2 2650, and the most recent the G2 4500 & SolidFlow G2 3600. I run both setups in my pond, about 3000 gallons, which stocks 11 Tosai Koi (ranging from 8" to 3") and two Sarasa Comets (~10").My honest view on these pumps and filters.1. These are expensive!!They are basically copies of the Filtoclear range from Oase and the pumps are copies of Oase's Pondtec. That does not make them "bad", in fact, my first setup did so well I decided to upgrade to the largest filter and pump combo. From my experience, these are made really well and have not leaked and or cracked. Which is something you read often with the "cheaper" alternatives, especially the pressure filters.2. The UV is under powered, they work OK, but the wattage (9 watts), in my opinion, is not enough to really keep up with larger volumes of water. My pond is ~ 3000 gallon and I use BOTH setups 24/7 and without additional filtration (biological) these filters will not keep the water "clear" at all.3. As mentioned above, these filters are great for "mechanical" filtration! I would NOT use them for biological filtration. In my case, I run each setup from pump to the pressure filter for mechanical filtration, then exit the pressure filter into Bakki showers. The Bakki showers house a ton of surface area for biological filtration. Previous to using my Bakki showers after the pressure filters. The pond was green, there simply was not enough biological filtration to tackle and combat the algae, even with both UV's powered and running 24/7. (This goes back to point #2 above). So think mechanical if you are stocking larger fish, or a higher number, especially if you have Koi!4. These are easy to clean, I love the backwash option and using the handle to compress the filter media (sponges). Cleaning is rather quickly! I clean the filters once a week and use this as a method for doing water changes as well, so I get two for one!Overall, I think you could easily save a lot of money and buy a "similar" setup. As I mentioned, I've not had any issues with quality as well as durability. So perhaps the "extra" money spent goes to the overall durability and quality! By all means, that is great as other setups could have you replacing faulty filters. However, I also feel the media and UV needs to be replaced every year if not 2. This can get costly overtime as well!TLDR: If you are stocking Koi, YOU WILL NEED MORE FILTRATION, and that filtration being Biological. These sponges just do not house enough to colonize a healthy amount of biological filtration!!!! They are amazing for mechanical filtration. The Pumps handle Solids without issue and the UV is under powered for ponds with larger volume.
