Almost perfect
Edit: after much online research have found the WiFi controller and app will connect to Alexa through a widget, Alexa can then create sunrise/sunset routines. This isn’t clear on product page or paperwork, but now it’s the aquarium light I wanted.Great light, purchased with wifi controller which simplifies things through the phone, but doesn’t give sunrise/set. There’s a timer function but not enough slots available to allow for a gradual change, step up/down is about 30% at a time. Almost perfect if this could be implemented!

Nice little value for money nano spotlight!
First time ordering a Lominie product and I am very impressed. I've been wanting to get one of these lights for a while now, so after my cherry shrimp tank had grown in a bit, it started looking dim with two cheap LED lights. It was the perfect excuse to upgrade, and I'm glad I did. The build quality of the light is excellent. The light unit, gooseneck and bracket feel good quality, sturdy and well made. The cooling fan is nice and quiet even on 100% brightness. Plants are growing amazingly compared to the growth with my previous lights and the roots on my floating plants have started to turn deep red. My only gripe is that the remote control doesn't tell you which set of LEDs you're adjusting, but I rarely use it now I've got the light set how I like it. I've had the light for just over a month now and I'm already looking to purchase another Lomonie light for one of my larger aquariums.

Really good light with lots of options for brightness and colour shading
Pros:1) good brightness for a 25L nano tank.2) lots of options for LED mixture, to give different shades and effects.3) it contains a fan which runs when LEDs are at max brightness, but the fan turns off on lower brightnesses and I don't really notice it when its is running because its so quiet.Cons:1) Remote control is oddly set out. I don't use it and rely on the control on the powerline instead.2) Any plants near the centre of the beam and near the surface will get intense light. Some floating plants would help give a little shade and reduce algae.3) Would struggle to light the sides of anything over 40cm wide.

Great little light
Light dispersal isnt great but the intensity and spectrum allow all the plants in the little 30 litre tanks i have them on to grow well and the red plants do great

A good alternative to Kessils
I am a big fan of Kessil lights, and these are a great alternative to their A80 range.Shimmer - is the reason many people buy a Kessil. They are more accentuated on the kessils, but you still get a nice, if slightly more subtle effect with these. I think I actually prefer it!Design - I really like the design of these. The mount is more flexible than the kessils as it lets you mount the light laterally or horizontally from the base. They are smaller and do get slightly hotter as a result but the cooling fins do the job. The only thing I would mention is that the metal mounting plate has sharp edges - I cut my finger when I opened the box!Power output - They are both 15w lights and power output appears is exactly the same. If anything, these are slightly brighter.Adjustability - You can only vary brightness with these and not colour temperature. However, the default colour temp on these is pleasant and brings out greens nicely. Strangely, one of the lights lets me lower the power output more than the other before turning off. Also worth noting that these come with two lenses - one flat which provides 180 degrees of light and one curved which focuses the light to 90 degrees. No way to change that on Kessil. Overall, its a draw here.Value for money - You could buy 5 of these for the same price as one A80. The kessils are not even close to 5x as good.Overall, these are a fantastic light for the price.

Expected better
Not a clean light output. Lens reflects splinters of blue, green and red around the periphery of its beam. The fan is noisy and the device emits a whining sound when used in conjunction with the recommended WiFi controller. The actual light effect within the tank is nice and natural but the noise is unacceptable for me.I would discuss the possibility of it being faulty but Amazon do not facilitate this, only option is to return.

Highly recommended better than some of the huge named brands
The media could not be loaded. I first purchased one of these lights just to see how they looked over my 20 inch cube and WOW. I now have 3 over my 6 foot tank, 1 over my 20 inch cube and 2 over a 3x2.I have tried most lighting companies over the 20 years of owning aquariums and these are up there in looks, ease of use and quality.I can highly recommend these to give your tank a truly dazzling look and make the colours of your fish, plants or corals pop.
