I bought this to get off an alligator clip to my radio antenna. It is a lot less noisy and it picks up pretty well. I have 100 foot of speaker wire run straight up and split in the windows in the top floor of the building I live in. I am considering reversing the polarity just to see what happens. Maybe the other wire would do better on the positive post? I will try it eventually. I may edit this if it helps, but I am already very pleased with this gadget. It's a little pricey but it is worth it. I see 50 cents in material. lol If I could only solder.

Great because it has two terminals, so you can add a ground or counterpoise for better performance. I used this on a $79 tecsun 330 and picked up Japan and Spain the first evening I fired it up with only a 25' long wire.

I use this to make a sealer wire antenna for my SW radio. It’s an Elite Executive. This plugs right into the antenna hole on the side and greatly improves the reception.

It was used to hook up to my Eton 750 radio.
