Perfect for my grandkids
The perfect bank to teach my 4 year old grandkids the value of a dollar. They love that they have optional slots and look for ways to earn a quarter to add it to their banks. A five star purchase in my opinion.

Great learning tool!
These banks are just what I was looking for. I gave my twins each one on their 5th birthday along with a wallet and a small bag of change. They get a little bag of change every 2 weeks (5 dollars each) which they disperse into the different areas. I treat the savings area like a high interest bank account and we have a contest on the first of each month where I count the money in the head and the child who earns the most interest wins a dollar coin for the invest section. On the non allowance weeks I count out the spend section and make it into dollar bills for their wallets. I keep their wallets in my purse and when they beg for something at the store I hand them their wallet and you can see instantly they are thinking about whether they want it bad enough to use their own money. The charity section will be matched by me and be used at Christmas time on a project that I hope will make them realize how important it is to help others. The invest part will allow them to buy "treasure". Silver coins - they just have to come up with the spot price. My son has his eye on a half oz shark coin. When they are older (and getting a bigger allowance) I will use this part to teach them about index funds. Awesome product. The kids love it and they know more about money then I did at twice their age. They are also taking better care of their toys because they've purchased several of them and they understand the value of them now.

Popular Petunia the Pig
I use this pig (her name is Petunia) in my adult Financial Education classes. I use it to talk about how money is about choices. It is a great tool for adults. It can be damaged easily as it is very lightweight. If you use it with children they need to be careful and not handle it a lot. The adults love it too. At the end of each group class I raffle off one of the pigs as a fun prize. They love it! When using it with young kid's groups they like it but "invest" may be confusing. I explain it as "money for college," because it is a long-term project idea.

A Great Way to Teach Fiscal Responsibility
While my pig is still in the box, my baby is still only 7 months old. I'm excited to teach her how to feed her pig when she gets old enough to know that money is not for eating. I think this is a great way for her to learn that all money is not for spending.

Great Value
I bought the blue and the purple pigs for my grandkids and was really happy with the size of this piggy bank- not too big and not too small and is very sturdy. There are little decals included that the kids can decorate the "piggy" the way they want to and I am really happy that there is a section to "donate" for the poor. The saving sections are a good size also. I am very happy with this purchase.
