How big are the worms, could they be swallowed?

I assume that child should be assisted while playing. But worms are the size of my small finger on my hand (normal size hands) :) hope this helps

Depends really, its a great toy really well made. I've bought it when my little one turned 3, I gave it away before he was 4 cause he wasn't interested anymore. But every child is different.
