Good slicer.
This is a nice heavy-duty slicer. Wife's been looking for a adjustable one for some time. The one complaint she has is the adjusting knob is so small that she has problems getting it loose to adjust the width of the slice but other than that it works fine.

Cuts cheese easerly.
I like my cracker barrel cheese at night with crackers and cocoa, and this product cuts through the cheese like butter.

Overall happy with it
Does it’s job well, for even slices from a block of cheese until you get to the end of the block, then it’s hard to hold the cheese and get nice slices.I wish the wire was a little thinner and tighter for cleaner starts per slice. Overall worth it.

You get what you pay for
Slicer handle is sturdy, but wire isn't. Hasn't broken but will use carefully. Handle is not very comfortable to hold when cutting.

Broke after 7 months
My wire snapped after 7 months of use. I know I can replace the wire (and I will do so with a thinner wire), but IMO this item should not require repair within the first several years.

Cutting wire is a little too thick.
I can cut 1/4" thick slices of cheese with a knife. I bought this slicer to evenly slice "cracker cuts," and the wire is just a little too thick to really do that well. However, the wire is just wire; there's no proprietary ends or fasteners needed. The wire is simply curled into little loops at the end, and you just tighten the screws. The overall thickness adjustment feature of the slicer is fine.So here's what I did. I'm a guitar player, so I compared my guitar strings to the slicer's wire. Then I looked up the thickness of my strings in "mils," or thousandths of an inch. What next? A web search for wire. The best result? Fishing "leads," which are metal wires used at the end of the fishing line, when fishing for things with real teeth. I found the manufacturer's website, and decided which thickness I wanted. Here was my result: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004XUMNW6/ - I selected "30 feet, 44 lb test." The plan is simply to cut a piece to size, use a needle nose pliers to bend the loops at the end so it looks just like the original, and swap them out. I haven't done it yet, but I will update this review when I do. [EDIT 12/26/2020] Works PERFECTLY! The wire being *just* a little thinner means I can slice cheese as thin as the pre-sliced stuff that costs a lot more to buy. Definitely recommended, and one pack of "fishing lead" is a lifetime supply of replacement wire.

Meh
If you are thinking about this because you fear getting cut while cutting large blocks of cheese, i would say ok. However, if you think this gets you clean thin slices like a slicing machine would , the answer is no. The slices won't be whole and they won't look uniform and they will be more of a shaved thick slice more than anything else. The adjuster does go up and down but depending on the size of block of cheese you are cutting you have no choice but to use the bigger setting. In the end, only really helpful when the cheese block is super big. If you only want to use for the run of the mill supermarket cheese block a sharp knife will do the trick.

No funciona como rebanador de quesos
El ajustador para el tamaño de la rebanada no se fija, se abre y rebana siempre grueso. No rebana bien.
