Make sure you're ok with a 10 psi pressure drop requirement
I was really hoping this would work for me - I went to the mfr's website to check out details and it described it as only needing a 3 psi pressure drop to activate, which is exactly what I needed (residential application, feeding off a kitchen sink branch line to prime a floor drain in the basement). When it arrived, I couldn't get it to work and noticed the packaging stated it needed 10 psi drop to activate. I called the mfr and learned it was a brand new version that only required the 3 psi (but using the same model #). That's what they had on their website and what I was expecting. What I got from the seller was the older version of the same model, so it wouldn't work for me. LET ME STRESS THIS WAS NO FAULT OF THE SELLER! When I contacted them, they replied very promptly and apologized but said the version I got was the only type they had, and very helpfully advised that I could return it (which I've now done). Things like this happen, not really anyone's fault (although maybe the manufacturer could've changed the model # since the spec changed). So I appreciate the good customer service I got from the seller (Plumber's Paradise) and would 100% buy from them again.

Welp! That was easy.
The old one was 30 years old and somehow still working. That being said, since I was remodeling; I put in a new one. Looking forward to another 30 years.

The photo is not of the product received-did not work
The primer in the picture is not the one I received. It also did not work. Emailed with the mfg representative and could not get it to work. He refused to help because Amazon was not one of their vendors. It has set back the sale of a $480K house. I ordered a different brand from a different seller.

Secret weapon for stopping random off-gassing smell in bathrooms
We will be using these in a condensation drain line. Despite a P trap there was a funky sewer smell emanating from time to time. This trap primer valve solves the problem. Pricey but highly recommend.

Crazy to use the same part #
I also received the PR-500 which needs 10 PSI pressure drop instead of 3 PSI. Another reviewer writes that the manufacturer updated this model to 3 PSI in April 2020. So there is old and new stock mixed together apparently. It is crazy to use the exact same part # for both.It is great that this is now available in 3 PSI. Just need to smooth out this part number issue. I'll try ordering again and roll the dice again and hope I get the 3 PSI version next time.
