UPDATE:I am 10 months in with using this bowl regularly, and it has definitely held up to it's original standard! I still wash it in the dishwasher (top shelf) and it has definitely kept up with my regular use. The only complaint is that the brown spot on the bottom (from using too much oil) had grown a touch, but it hasn't affected the flavor and definitely still seems safe to use.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Yeah so I like popcorn a lot. Like a lot. This bowl has saved me so so much money since I bought it 6 months ago. Kernels are so much cheaper than the instant bags, and the air popper can let you make healthier popcorn or flavor it your own way. This air popper has two different fill lines, for one serving and for two. If you fill it to the two serving line, it'll pop the lid up so that it just rests on the mountain of popcorn teeming out of the bowl.When I bought this, POPCO sent me an emailed pdf with literally hundreds of popcorn recipes. However I've found my favorites to be either avocado oil and sea salt or olive oil, sea salt, rosemary, and lemon.The only issue with this is that it can be difficult to clean if you are an avid hand-washer. It comes clean in the dishwasher though, and I've put both the lid and the bowl on the top shelf regularly. I use this basically everyday (I told you I really like popcorn) and it hasn't shown any signs of wear other than some brown parts on the bottom when I used too much olive oil.All in all, what an amazing buy. If you're looking for a way out of junk food, this is such a power move.Pro tip: look up oils and their smoke point before using this. If you use oils with a higher smoke point (like avocado) your popcorn will be less likely to be burnt and you'll avoid the brown spot I got in the bottom of mine when I used olive oil. Also, keep in mind that your microwave times will be different based on what you put on it (and honestly you can just put naked kernels in and be fine).

First, there are many brands of this style silicone popper, and I suspect they all work about the same. I chose this particular one based on .... the colors available. LOL. Had to have purple. I did read reviews first, too.It took me about two weeks to find the perfect set of conditions for popping, and now I am completely satisfied. Currently, I use no oil for popping, Redenbacher popcorn only, filled to first line, at 3 minutes on my 1100 watt microwave. Generally around 10 kernels left unpopped. It pops to about 2" below the top. No scorched or burned popcorn. Perfect, fluffy, tasty popcorn. I use a few sprays from a can of butter flavored canola oil popcorn spray, just enough for some powdered seasoning to stick to it. Very happy.Prior to figuring out the perfect times and popcorn brands, I did experience burnt kernels, scorched popcorn, and excessive unpopped kernels. I tried several brands, before deciding the more expensive Redenbacher was best. I tried different power settings and times, as well as varying between the first and second line and in between. The optimal results were what I listed above. I recommend doing the same, experiment until you find the perfect settings/brands. The main variable here will be the microwave oven you use. Once you find the perfect combination of filling line, time, and brand, you will have perfect popcorn every time!

For years I've been looking for a better way to do popcorn without the microwave bags. I even tried a small popcorn machine but it was such a hassle to clean. This silicone bowl is perfect!!! I can use my own choice of kernels along with butter, oil, salt to make the best popcorn south of the north pole!!

I really love this microwave popcorn popper! I've ordered this along with a bag of Amish Country Popcorn to try it out. When it was delivered to my doorstep, I immediately tried it out.After cleaning the product to get rid of the new silicone smell, I poured kernels up to one of the measurement lines, placed the lid in the bowl, then put Batch #1 in my Kenmore model #721.80033700 microwave.Batch #1 was just plain kernels with no oils or anything. It took around 3-4 minutes for the majority of the kernels to pop. The popcorn turned out perfectly fine, with no burning or scorching. I poured the batch in a bowl and returned the popper in the microwave to pop the remaining kernels.Batch #2 was kernels plus olive oil (1-2 tsp as per instructions). Same 3-4 minutes and same results. No burnt popcorn or clumps.Batch #3 was kernels plus avocado oil. Same perfect results.So far, the Popco popper was completely fine. There was no scorch marks or any weird burnt smells, even with the oils. Cleaning was easy, simply hand wash it or place it in the dishwasher. I believe that it was the combination of this peculiar microwave and a good product is what gave me good results.I recommend this product, though I hope your microwave will work well with it if you do purchase it.

I didn't believe it but after reading all the reviews I gave it a try. This is the perfect solution for low calorie popcorn making. I love that it collapses to fit in a drawer. I'm sure the quality of the kernels is a factor but I used Pop Secret jumbo popcorn and it came out perfect! I used the popcorn setting on my microwave and filled the bottom to the second line. I got a full bowl of perfectly popped popcorn, no burning, and very few unpopped kernels. This is definitely worth the money. There is another brand out there but it's several dollars more.

The easiest way to eat popcorn. I don't put any oil or butter in it. I have heard it can affect the bowl so I just avoid and add butter after. Makes a decent amount too.

Makes a large bowl of popcorn although looks small. Every kernel pops.

Love it! No burning, popcorn is not dry or dehydrated. No oil needed, very convenient. Fantastic purchase!
