To be honest, considering the temp outside is in the upper 80's I fully expected them to melt and arrive as one big ball and I was ok with that. When I opened the box (which sat outside for at least 4 hrs because I was busy when UPS rang the door bell and I forgot about it) I was blown away by how much care went into packaging a $3 bag of kit kats! Just look at the picture I uploaded...Some sort of 1 inch thich insulating pad lined the box and fit in there perfectly AND the kit kats were laying on an ice pack!! The packaging alone probably cost more then the Kit Kats!
