Amazing evidence-based guide to gut health
This is a great, practical guide from a PhD level dietitian. I love the easy to understand sections on digestion and the gut-brain axis as well as the guides to improving your own gut health, including, sleep, exercise, and supplement recommendations. Dr. Rossi also includes several enticing plant-based recipes. There was one missing thing I wish was addressed: leaky gut since it's such a hot topic. It would've been great to get the take from an actual expert in this area.

Very in-depth
I saw this highlighted on Jamie Oliver Food Tube and gave it a go. Honestly, I didn't read the description of the book before purchasing so I was a bit surprised that is more a book of understanding gut health than the straight up cookbook I thought I was buying. It nicely breaks down (no pun intended) how the food we eat impacts our bodies and delivers a clear, concise message on better eating.

If you have gut troubles, BUY this book!!
Excellent book! I got it today and I haven't been able to put it down. So much good information. I can't wait to put this information into practice and see my gut health change. She really thought of everything in this book and put the evidence based information in a format that is easy to read, implement and review.

Font too small
It looks about an 8 or a 9 font.I bought 2 copies - one for me, one for a friend. I’ll return mine and possibly my friend’s.Tons of good info if you don’t mind the small print.

Beautifully Written by a Renowned Dietician
I love Dr Rossi's style of writing about a very complex subject, simplifying it with beautiful word illustrations and sprinkling throughout a lovely sense of humor, so that the average person will understand and benefit from the wealth of evidence-based information. I also bought a copy of the book for my mom who suffers with IBS and she, too, is impressed with Eat Yourself Healthy! I'm looking forward to trying the recipes, particularly the fermented foods. Whether you suffer from gut related illness or like myself just want to keep your gut healthy and learn how it works so as to do so, I highly recommend Megan Rossi's book.

Not a fad, great information
Very informative book if you’re interested in gut health and not some fad. Just good real information.

Really happy I have found this book
This book supports the "30 plant a week"diet which rings true to what I see as healthy eating. The dessert/snack recipes are sweetened with dates or a little honey, or prunes for example. Unlike other recipes that claim to be sugar free and replace 200g sugar with 200g honey (which is still same really) , this book uses very little of the sweet stuff with still very delicious results. The science bit I found very interesting and useful and written in a language that I can understand. It does not have recipes that use meat, but what I do I just add a little meat on the side when and if I feel like it. I have purchased her other book Eat More, Live Well and I am looking forward to reading it. The Gut Health Doctor website provides a lot of useful free information which I am really grateful for, so I am happy to support this healthy eating project by buying the books too.

Information you can trust
With so much 'information' out there, you know you can trust what is in this book. From following Dr Megan online you can tell she is truly truly passionate about her field. She is a leading researcher in gut health and you can tell she loves what she does. It's nice to find a book that will just tell you straight facts and break down the science of your gut. This book will give you the ability to critically think when you come across the next diet fad, misleading media headline, or influencer craze. This is a book that everyone should have, even if you don't an obvious gut issue.

Very detailed, delicious recipes
I really like the writer, that is why I bought the book. I love how dedicated to her job Dr. Rossi is.I must say sometimes the book gets a little boring, with all the scientific information, but I guess it is OK for people who have gut problems and really want to know how the intestine (big and small) work.The fonts are quite small, making it difficult at times to read.The recipes are delicious, it is the most interesting part (at least for me).The spicy beans, the zucchini and banana bread or the aubergine meatballs are a must try.I keep the book open on my kitchen table to get inspired: Dr. Rossi gives you many ideas on how to sneak vegetables into your diet without eveng noticing it.
