Excellent wire at a good price
I actually took the trouble to test the wire. Putting an ohmmeter across one end with the other end shorted, it read 0.91 ohms - exactly what it should be. This tells me it is in fact #12 wire and 265 feet long. It's really easy to "fudge" a little on either parameter and given the price of copper it's tempting for the manufacturer to do so. Anyway, this is the real deal - I got all the copper I paid for and the jacket seems robust and easy to work with. I'd buy it again if I needed more.

Heavy Duty
Nice heavy duty wire for my low voltage wiring. The spool itself is very heavy, so you know you're getting good quality wire.

Quality Wire at a Good Price Point
If you're considering installing low-voltage landscape lights, do yourself a favor and install a quality wire of sufficient gauge. Voltage drop can be problematic with thinner gauge wire, particularly over longer runs. I found that 12 gauge was sufficient for my needs, and I ended up using more than I anticipated. Make sure to leave a coil at your light location in case you want to make adjustments later. This wire features a thick coating and pure copper wire strands. I would definitely purchase it again..

Thick insulation, very malleable for installation
This roll of wire is 12/2, for installing low voltage applications. It has a good insulated jacket, yet able to bend and fit around corners without cracking. This roll should be good for a couple dozen lights over its length with minimal voltage drop if used with a good transformer. This wire should also be suitable for running devices off of a battery charged by solar panels or AC on shorter winter days.
