Favorite tinder
No messy or sticky accelerants to deal with. As far as I can till, don't degrade over time. Easy to pack. Excellent burn time. Easy to ignite from about any source. What more could you want. I bought for evergency tinder should the woods be soaked. But, so convienient I'm getting lazy and often use them instead of foraging for tinder (guess I had better stay practised, though).

Flame at the first strike
I've only used these when able to keep them dry - but under those conditions they are outstanding. Even the smallest sparks from a rotating spark wheel (as in a Zippo lighter) and you've got flame. You need to act quickly to transfer the burning tab to your tinder/kindling (unless it's already in the mix), but it burns hot and well for a short period of time.

Does what they are supposed to
Lit with very first spark from the ferro rod. Works in the mountains starting a campfire (just for kicks). Not too oily like the other fire starters so less mess handling and storing them. One will fit nicely in the compartment of my Exotac fireROD. Have yet to try in damp weather, but overall I will likely buy again after I build 100 fires.

Five Stars
They work! They're cheap insurance for the ability to get a warming fire going in any conditions.

Love it
Have had to use in some very environmentally difficult times when a fire was needed, this works great

Works great!!
These catch quickly and I'm glad I bought 100 just for peace of mind. I plan to create smaller sets using my vacuum sealer for long-term storage.

I wanted to like them but they don't perform much better than regular cotton balls. Regular cotton balls are easier to ignite than tinderQuick when dry. TinderQuick does ignite a little better than a regular cotton ball when damp. Neither would ignite when wet. Cotton balls are about 1 cent each. These are almost 24 cents each. Not worth the extra cost in my opinion. TQ does burn longer than cotton balls, but not longer than 24 cotton balls.
